Position Overview

The Investment Services Specialist will be responsible for investment portfolio evaluation of large financial services entities, identifying specific investment risk related issues, and recommending solutions to address findings. This position has opportunity for advancement as well as personal and professional growth.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review and provide analysis for companies' investment strategies, products, portfolios, investment plans, and agreements

  • Review of entity's investment policies, guidelines, procedures and controls regarding investment accounts, performance of procedures to verify or establish existence, ownership, and valuation of investment accounts. Ability to compare and contrast findings with industry competitors

  • Review and assess statutory investment filings, investment laws, and financial accounting treatment for various asset types.

  • Review valuation and assess impairment of investments including: structured products, mortgages, derivatives, and various other fixed income and alternative investments.

  • Review company's investment risk management and governance process

  • Review and assess company's derivative investment portfolio and hedging program

  • Execute testing of compliance with state laws, rules and regulations.

  • Review and evaluate investment related agreements, including custodial account agreements.

  • Execute project plan independently or with a team.

  • Review Internal and External Audit plans for reasonableness and adequacy of investment audits.

  • Participate in client status meetings, prepare and review deliverables, and assist in identifying issues which will be communicated to the client.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance

  • Minimum of 10 years total professional experience

  • Knowledge of Insurance Company Capital Standards

  • Knowledge of Investment activities utilized by Insurers. (Sec Lending, hedging, ALM, funding agreements, investment contracts. etc)

  • Capital Markets experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA and/or professional certification/s preferred; including Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designation (CAIA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Insurance or Financial Services Industry, preferred

  • Experience with derivatives

  • Demonstrated problem solving skills

  • PC skills, including experience in using software for producing presentations, spreadsheets, and project planning

  • Demonstrated history of project management experience

  • Ability to interact with all levels including executives and senior managers

  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, analytical and statistical sampling skills

  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, projects and assignments

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required

  • Dynamic/flexible demeanor with exceptional client service skills

  • Forward-thinking leader with a collaborative focus who can consult effectively with key constituents and become recognized as a valued resource

  • Must be self-motivated and possess a sense of urgency

You will be responsible for assessment and compliance to the European Medical Device Regulation (MDR) regarding design control compliance for Interventional Urology implantable device (IU ID) products. This position will include working with Interventional Urology and Corporate MDR team in preparing, monitoring and communicating status of regulatory needs, along with performing duties for regulatory related remediation and submissions. In this role, will also ensure that the Regulatory Affairs management systems maintain in compliance with the necessary quality and regulatory requirements. Major Areas of Accountability * Assess and implement requirements specific to the the European MDR in order to sustain commercial availability for all products * Provide strategic and tactical direction to cross functional teams for developing adequate documentation supporting compliance with MDR according to project schedule, * Ensure MDR compliance and consistency across product lines, procedures, and processes, such as PMS, GSPR, PSUR, SSCP, etc, * Provide input into new and revised processes and documents for MDR compliance and to continually improve the QMS * Provide practical guidance and technical expertise regarding the planning and conversion of technical documentation into design dossiers and technical files to support continued CE-marking for Interventional Urology ID products. Provide input for discussion with regulatory agencies, responses to questions/requests for additional information as required in a timely and appropriate manner. * Advise regulatory team members on MDR aspects as applicable to their regulatory activities. * Plan, document and communicate an appropriate regulatory strategy to support the implementation of MDR. * Provide guidance with regard to the review and approval of labeling, promotional literature and other documents for regulatory compliance to MDR. Conduct compliance reviews and assessments as needed * Ensure compliance of post-market surveillance activities and risk management assessments with MDR. * Maintain well-organized Regulatory Affairs records that allow ready retrieval of required information. * Provide input to contracts with external partners on design control and documentation requirements. Transfer required documentation for external projects to the Coloplast system. Perform audits and/or due diligence activities for regulatory affairs compliance for potential partners. * Conforms with Coloplast Code of Conduct and all local Compliance Standards (http://connect.coloplast.com/groups/corporate-communications/corporate-responsibility/pages/codeofconductpackage.aspx) * Conforms with Coloplast Q/EHS Policy (http://www.coloplast.com/About/responsibility/Documents/QEHS%20policy.pdf) * Other duties as assigned.
