Qualifications:

Required:

  • US work authorization required

  • Huron requires a Bachelor's Degree in a field related to this position or equivalent work experience

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience managing complex team-based engagements in a research administration, clinical research, healthcare, compliance, and/or consulting field

  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant managerial experience leading and developing teams

  • Demonstrated knowledge in Research compliance

  • Willingness and ability to travel every week (Monday-Thursday) on a 60-80% basis annually; work extended hours as necessary

Preferred:

  • Consulting experience

  • Business Development experience

  • Experience in Clinical Research Compliance

  • Advanced degree in Healthcare Administration/Business Administration (MHA, MPH, and MBA similar) or related field

Drives operational effectiveness and ensures the most strategic allocation of risk control resources to improve business outcomes through delivery of enhanced risk control management reporting, research and analytical insights, risk control tools and technology solutions, risk control guidelines, quality assurance and governance processes. In conjunction with Risk Control senior management, works within limits of authority to reduce loss exposure, and to support and contribute to growth and profit of specified business units. Key Responsibilities Performs a combination of duties in accordance with departmental guidelines: * Works with business partners across the organization to improve how Risk Control operational metrics are gathered, stored, and analyzed. Conceptualize and develop new, reusable tools, models and approaches. * Performs emerging trend analysis and critical research regarding business operations, the external economy, insurance industry trends, governmental legislation and regulations to determine impact on Risk Control policies and procedures as well as overall business goals. Provides essential analysis and reports findings to business partners and key stakeholders. * Monitors new business and renewal activity to ensure Risk Control resources are strategically deployed in alignment with business unit objectives. * Leads project teams in the evaluation of technology improvement projects, conducts studies, develops and implements best practices, and recommends modifications to the technology systems for Specialty Risk Control. * Lead Risk Control strategic initiatives designed to improve efficiencies, productivity and customer service. * Partners with Risk Control Leadership team to create, develop and implement client service strategies and offerings including client service plans, stewardship offerings, capabilities presentations, etc. * Plans, organizes and conducts business process reengineering and improvement projects. Plans and oversees large, complex projects to elicit and review business requirements on key initiatives and address possible impacts on functional areas. Acts as a change agent to help facilitate effective deployments of and modifications to existing Risk Control processes and/or systems. * Promotes continual business innovation with a strategy of making improvements to existing Risk Control assessment and utilization guidelines that drives improved business outcomes * Reviews and directs the evaluation and assessment of loss exposures and the application of risk control policies and guidelines * Establishes a robust feedback loop to deliver results and assure compliance with quality assurance program. Generates quality assurance 'Best Practices' and modifies quality assurance program as needed. May perform additional duties as assigned.
