Raytheon is looking for a highly motivated Database Engineer to support multiple contracts and or proposals across the mission area. Using agile development methodologies, the DBS will provide leading edge DBS solutions and support for three tier application environments (application, database, and storage). The DBS will be responsible for working within an application tier environment primarily built around COTS-based, software applications within an Enterprise Architecture. Within the database tier, the DBS will be responsible for working within and supporting the Oracle database management system with some applications using SQL Servers, as well as supporting legacy applications. The DBS will be responsible for installing and testing database tier version updates and software changes. The DBS will also be responsible for providing centralized administration and management for local and remote databases.

Required Skills:

  • Must have a Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility (SSBI within the last 5 years).

  • Must have experience with Oracle and or Microsoft SQL Server in Database environment.

  • Must be DOD 8570 compliant, IAT Level II required, IAT Level III desired

  • Must have experience within the Cybersecurity domain.

  • Strong troubleshooting or problem solving skills with the ability to work in a collaborative team environment or independently.

  • Experience gathering requirements and defining projects

  • Demonstrated ability to perform system upgrades, maintenance, and reporting.

  • Willing to work alone on individual projects while being involved in larger projects as a team effort with minimal supervision of the lead systems engineer.

  • Strong Oral and Written communication skills.

  • Must exhibit time management skills and self-motivation.

Desired Skills:

  • Must have experience with agile software development methodologies

Required Education (including Major):

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related technical field and minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience. Years of related experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Todays USO continuously adapts to the needs of our men and women in uniform and their families, so they can focus on their very important mission. We operate USO centers at or near military installations across the United States and throughout the world, including in combat zones, and even un-staffed USO service sites in places too dangerous for anyone but combat troops to occupy. The Fundraising Database Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the USOs development and fundraising database, examining trends and recommending efficiencies in fundraising. Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Duties) * Perform all Raisers Edge donor database administration including but not limited to: record maintenance, reporting, duplicate record merging, clean-up tasks, security and quality control audits. * Produce and manage the accurate creation/generation of financial, analytical, statistical and demographic reports as well as mailing lists, recognition lists and other data extracts as requested. Design and generates customized reporting and sets in place automated processes as necessary. * Produce and manage reconciliation, revenue and other reports such as gifts and pledges and acknowledgement activity for USO Development Team. * Build and communicate performance metrics, reports and dashboards to illustrate key organizational trends. Use financial models that enable forecasting and lend greater predictability to fundraising revenue streams. Incorporate both quantitative and qualitative elements to convey key drivers of fundraising effectiveness. * In coordination with internal analysis working groups and key stakeholders across multiple departments, analyze strategies and tactics that result in optimal campaign performance and increased lifetime value of USO donors. Identify trends and opportunities in order to facilitate data-driven decision making. * Provide training and technical support to all Raisers Edge database users. Assist fundraisers in using the aspects of the program required to support the fundraising efforts of the organization. Work with IT and outside vendors to troubleshoot network and software issues. * Other duties as assigned. Job Specifications * Bachelors Degree in business administration, social science, public policy or related field. * 3-5 years of development or financial analysis experience. Relevant experience in a direct response analytics role in a not-for-profit, multicultural and/or global organization preferred. * Strong analytical skills. Demonstrated proficiency using data querying tools with large data sets. Ability to utilize technology to integrate multiple dashboards preferred. * Strong interpersonal, customer service and problem-solving skills. Ability to interact with USO Leadership, the general public and military audiences at a variety of levels with integrity and professionalism. * Proficiency using computers and electronics equipment. Experience utilizing fundraising software, preferably Blackbaud Raisers Edge or similar relational databases. Knowledge of various software, applications, and programs including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite. Superior Excel/Pivot Table experience a must. * Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment related to controversial and/or culturally sensitive subjects. Ability to handle confidential information with tact and poise. * Must show initiative, self-motivation, and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities.
