Purpose:
The Center for Public Service Psychiatry offers a unique fellowship for early career psychiatrists to build skills that will enable them to work in public sector psychiatric settings effectively. This position will assist in the organization and conduct of the fellowship, assuring continued excellence in this educational experience.
This is a casual position located in Sterling Plaza, Thursdays from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM and ranges from $86 to $96 an hour.
Responsibilities:
Presenting findings and recommendations to organization
Managing projects and programs
Implementing recommendations/solutions and ensuring the organization receives the necessary assistance to carry it all out.
Identifying issues and forming hypotheses and solutions
Leading and managing those within the team, including analysts.
Liaising with the organization to keep them informed of progress and to make relevant decisions.
Qualifications:
PA medical license, MD-Board Certified psychiatrist with previous medical practice experience, including teaching trainees/fellows.
Excellent knowledge of psychiatric service providers and non-profit agencies in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania
Faculty Appointment with Western Psychiatric Hospital of UPMC
Completion of a community psychiatry fellowship program, or equivalent experience working in public sector settings and administrative positions
Member PA Psychiatry Leadership Council (PPLC) and the American Association of Community Psychiatry (AACP) and other professional and advocacy groups as desired.
