Provide educators with support to assist districts in the development and implementation of effective language and literacy instructional methods, assessments and/or activities related to improving academic performance. Collaborate with other initiatives and interagency work of the RPDCs and DESE to provide support to identified districts and schools.
Education & Formal Training Bachelor's degree (Specify field(s) of study below) Other Education & Formal Training
Bachelor's degree in the following field(s) of study: language and literacy, educational leadership, technology, curriculum/assessment or appropriate related field or evidence of equivalency.
Master's degree in the following field(s) of study: language and literacy, educational leadership, technology, curriculum/assessment or related field preferred.
Formal and informal group presentation skills, facilitation skills, educational coaching skills required.
Computer Skills Word-Processing, Spreadsheet, Presentation, Desktop Publishing, Other - social media, Google, Zoom, Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, Power Point, and web browsers. Experience
Ten (10) years successful general and/or special education classroom teaching, concentration, specialization and/or emphasis in language and literacy is required, school improvement planning, administration, or related experience in public education in Missouri. Experience with group facilitation and presentation required.
Experience with science of reading and associated instructional, intervention and assessment practices required.
Ten years of classroom experience and elementary or secondary content-specific teaching certificate required.
Have knowledge and skills with LETRS (Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling) and have completed LETRS training.

Valid teaching certificate and/or administrative certificate.
