We're Seeking a Consultant

Are you passionate about technology and innovation in the Tax & Accounting sector? We're on the lookout for a Consultant who excels in client-facing delivery roles, bringing advanced technology implementations, software solutions, and training to our Tax & Accounting Professional clients. This role is pivotal in developing and delivering services that leverage APIs, Automation, and integration technologies, enhancing our clients' operational efficiency and success.

About the Role

As a Consultant, your journey with us will involve:

  • Crafting and delivering technology-driven trainings alongside a variety of consulting sessions, including utility/product implementations and automation optimizations.

  • Working with automation/API features of Thomson Reuters products, such as Confirmation, GoSystem Tax, GoFileRoom, Checkpoint, and more.

  • Engaging directly with customers and their IT teams to understand their needs, business processes, and tailor scoping and pricing for custom requests.

  • Advising on the best system configurations and business processes, anchored in industry best practices.

  • Leading the charge on both standard and custom implementation plans, overseeing resources, evaluating outcomes, and documenting new processes.

  • Collaborating with other Consultants, Integration Engineers and cross-functional teams to innovate and expand our service offerings.

  • Building and nurturing client relationships, ensuring the effective use and maximization of Thomson Reuters Tax & Accounting products.

About You

Your expertise and skills include:

  • A proven track record in complex software implementations and delivering technology-based trainings, preferably in client-facing situations.

  • Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.

  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities.

  • The ability to communicate complex technology concepts across varied technical understanding levels.

  • Familiarity with or the ability to quickly learn Thomson Reuters products such as Confirmation, GoSystem Tax, GoFileRoom, and/or Checkpoint.

  • Advanced knowledge in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) and API/system integration.

  • Experience with low-code/no-code environments and automation platforms (e.g., Microsoft Power Apps, Alteryx, etc.…) is advantageous.

  • A background in or understanding of the CPA firm landscape enhances your candidacy.

  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to multiple technologies.

  • Strong project management skills, with the capacity to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Independence in your work, with a collaborative spirit for team projects.

  • A creative problem-solving approach, finding new solutions with minimal direction.

  • A commitment to achieving client satisfaction through exceptional service.

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The location(s) for this role include one or more of the following states: CA, CO, CT, IL, NV, TX, WA and/or remote. The base compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $74,200 - $137,800. The base compensation range in other locations may vary. This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
