What Territory Management - Dist contributes to Cardinal Health

Territory Management is responsible for cold calling, prospecting and building relationships that will increase account penetration, revenue growth and customer satisfaction within a specified product line, business segment and/or geography. Focus areas will include driving new business as well as increasing penetration in existing accounts.

What is expected of you for success in your role

  • Demonstrates advanced knowledge of Cardinal Health and customer industry, including: key competitors, terminology, technology, trends, challenges, reimbursement and government regulation; demonstrates working knowledge of how Cardinal Health offerings match with a customers' unique business needs.

  • Initiates and takes ownership of principles of territory management, including: account planning, selling processes, post-sales implementation processes, deal economics

  • Identify and target new business and market development opportunities through cold calling and relationship development.

What is expected of you and others at this level in Direct Sales for functional success

  • Applies knowledge of the customer's business to develop optimal solutions

  • Proactively and with a regular cadence demonstrates to the customer the defined value of partnering with Cardinal Health both pre- and post-sales

  • Effectively negotiates and collaborates with the customer and colleagues to influence support for mutually beneficial outcomes and achieve consensus

  • Builds and sustains relationships founded on trust with internal and external customers and ensures customer satisfaction and loyalty

  • Identifies and qualifies new sales opportunities and develops plans for introducing new solutions through collaborative relationships

Accountabilities in this role

The Pharmacy Business Consultant incorporates a consultative approach to fulfill customer needs by driving value added services that improve customer operational efficiencies and result in improving customer sales and margins. Candidate will call on independently owned pharmacies and Alternate Cares sites, as main customer base. Product offerings are selling intangible technology programs and services to pharmacies to help solve the overall operations solutions in their stores. This role has responsibility for:

  • Assuming direct accountability for all aspects of the selling process within an assigned customer base

  • Striving to improve customer loyalty and retention and drive deeper sales penetration within existing customer accounts with a primary emphasis on generic selling

  • Analyzing opportunities and developing strategies to drive growth in generic product purchasing

  • Focus areas will include driving new business as well as increasing penetration in existing accounts.

  • Achieving 100% customer retention; prepares presentations, reports, written recommendations and statistical reports as appropriate and/or as requested by sales management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred

  • Minimum 4 years related sales experience

  • Ability to travel 75% of the time during the day (no overnight travel)

  • Proven product knowledge in business area

  • Valid driver's license

Responsibilities Bausch + Lomb is seeking a high performing Internal Vision Territory Manager (iVTM) to independently drive business result for their assigned areas. This role will also have the opportunity to support Field Vision Territory Managers (VTM's) in partnering with retail affiliated and independent Eye Care Practitioners (ECP) in an assigned territory to achieve mutually beneficial objectives by leveraging product solutions that address the needs of the patient and practice. Day to Day responsibilities include, but not limited to; * Meet/Exceed the Quarterly territory sales quota and execute on key metrics established by sales leadership for the given territory. * Execute effective sales calls, via phone, WebEx and in person, to ECP's within the assigned territory and move business forward by using marketing materials, programs and selling techniques to increase Bausch + Lomb contact lens prescriptions and lens care recommendations. * Develop and monitor account business plans for the highest volume customers to create and maintain growth. * Responsible for creating and executing an effective call plan cycle and formulating an overall territory strategy to develop new customers and accelerate growth with existing customers. * Demonstrate technical proficiency and clinical knowledge of all Bausch + Lomb Vision Care products as well as competitive products. * Utilize Salesforce.com CRM system to maintain accurate customer information and account progress continuum. * Attend National and Regional Sales meetings, Trade shows as needed. * Submit all administrative reports on a timely basis. * Assist in covering Field Territories as needed. * Travel, at least once a Quarter, to remote customers. Requires overnight stays. * Adhere to AdvaMed Guidelines. Qualifications We are seeking a candidate with; * Bachelor's degree in a related field. * 2+ years of B2B sales experience (Internal and/or External), eye health care industry a plus, along with a documented track record of success. * Self-started with the ability to work independently and as a member of a team who exhibits a positive attitude. * Excellent time management and organizational skills * Ability to anticipate, understand, prioritize and meet customer needs. * Excellent verbal and written communication. * Ability to analyze business, identify trends and course correct when necessary. * Ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Office suite of products and digital technology tools. * Ability to travel once a Quarter to remote customers which requires overnight stays. * Candidates should be able to perform all job duties which necessitates; driving in geographically large areas for long periods of time, lifting boxes (25 pounds), traveling by airplane and car, usually in the United States, remain standing and/or sitting for prolonged periods of time when giving presentations; and performing other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time. * Valid driver's license, along with a clean driving record. * The position is located in Bausch Health Companies Corporate Headquarters in Bridgewater NJ.
