Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Consultant, Strategy & Analytics, Analytics & Cognitive in Dallas, TX and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You'll Do

Function as an integrator between business needs and technology solutions, helping to create technology solutions to meet clients' requirements. Redefine data management, data governance, Security and Encryption policies using BigData technologies.

Define systems strategy; develop system requirements; design, prototype, and test custom technology solutions; and support system implementation. Manage the information supply chain from acquisition to ingestion, storage, and provisioning of data to point-of-impact by modernizing and enabling new capabilities. Facilitate Data Integration on traditional and Hadoop environments by assessing client's enterprise IT environments and guiding client to the future IT environment state to support meeting their long-term business goals.

Enhance business drivers through enterprise-scale applications that enable visualization, consumption and monetization of both structured and unstructured data. Enhance the customer experience and transform their business models. Design and implement large-scale custom development integration projects using BigData technologies.

Complete functional design, translate functional requirements specifications into technical design documents, and prototype. Utilize Scrum methodologies to complete requirements gathering, process workflows, data modelling, architecture and technical design, BigData infrastructure sizing, and application development. Implement Data Warehouse solution of star-schemas on BigData using Hive and HBase.

Build solutions using Java, Scala, and SQL and perform performance tuning and optimization. Develop data quality, validation, profiling and transformation algorithms using BigData technologies and reporting using Tableau. Develop reporting capabilities using QlikView dashboards.

Provide detailed unit test plan and performing peer testing. Design and build web services using Java and Struts framework; provide technical demo of proof of concepts and prototypes to clients; redefine data management, data governance, Security and Encryption policies using BigData technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Technology, CIS, MIS, Business or a related field.

  • One year of experience as a Consultant, a Senior Associate, a Software Engineer, or in a related occupation.

  • Must have one year of experience with:

  • Designing and implementing large-scale custom development integration projects using BigData technologies;

  • Completing functional design, translating functional requirements specifications into technical design documents, and prototyping;

  • Utilizing Scrum methodologies to complete requirements gathering, process workflows, data modelling, architecture and technical design, BigData infrastructure sizing, and application development;

  • Implementing Data Warehouse solution of star-schemas on BigData using Hive and HBase;

  • Building solutions using Java, Scala, and SQL and performing performance tuning and optimization;

The name draws reference to our customer-first culture (C1C) as well as the innovation solutions that will be imagined, piloted and quickly deployed complementing our already strong and growing foundation of innovative capabilities. In the Innovation Lab, a cross functional team of strategists, designers, technologists paired with a dedicated Customer Service and Care Coordination teams will co-exist and will be focused on developing solutions that will help our largest national employer accounts make health care more affordable and improve health outcomes for their employees and our members while continuing to provide exemplary service. This position is responsible for developing and/or enhancing performance metrics and reporting packages to reflect impact of Innovation Lab operations and to support various functional reporting needs within the Innovation Lab and occasionally Client Analytics. This individual will perform research and assist in analyzing health, financial, and contact center data as well as develop and modify SQL queries to determine health care expenditures, medical and economic outcomes, and cost containment strategies. Strong SQL and Tableau skills are required to successfully interact with, model, and ultimately prepare insightful analytics and dashboards. This individual will also analyze complex business problems and issues as well as identify and interpret trends and patterns using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers.
