The Senior Consultant is primarily engaged on either customer facing or internal professional services engagements. Sr. Consultants often lead the technical aspects and the development of project deliverables of internal projects (system integration, whitepapers, scalability and performance tests) to a large extent and can lead standard customer engagements of low to high complexity. The position requires an individual to utilize their skills in the consulting methodology, networking concepts, documentation standards and organization, time management, Pomeroy's products and technologies, software installation, and networking skills on internal Consulting Solutions assignments or client engagements. The Senior Consultant must be able to individually solve problems proactively and seek help from more experienced team members or other available sources (i.e. knowledge base, manuals, etc.) when necessary. The position requires a team player that seeks to supplement their skills using project experience, self-study manuals, and point of need training. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are also required.

The Sr. Consultant works on internal and customer facing consulting projects of low-to-high complexity with significant responsibilities for completion of entire project sections.

General office environment
Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required:
10 years of relevant network consulting or industry experience.
At least 4 years of experience leading implementation teams.
A minimum of 2 full life cycle implementations.
A willingness to travel 50 - 75% of the time.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments.
Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint).
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment.
Eagerness to mentor junior staff.
Expert knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, applications, design, and implementation
Demonstrated experience with the following configurations:
VPC and VSS configurations
Routing Protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP)
FHRP configurations (VRRP, HSRP, GLBP)
Access control mechanisms (ACL, dACL, 802.1x)
SDWan (Meraki, Viptella)
Strong to Expert knowledge of one or more of the following technical areas:
Cisco Firewalls (ASA, FTD)
Cisco Identity Management products (ISE, DUO)
Cisco Data Center products
Cisco Routing / Switching products
Minimum certification required: Cisco CCNP and/or CCNA with similar complex work experience.
