This position is for our Free-standing Emergency Department (FSED). We are looking for candidates with an interest in ED practice. We ideally would like a pharmacist with clinical background as well as administrative/regulatory.
The Consultant Pharmacist identifies, resolves and prevents drug related problems. Recommends and monitors patient drug therapy and provides drug information. Interacts with patients, family, and other health care providers to assure continuity of pharmaceutical services and to achieve desired patient outcomes through safe, timely and cost effective drug therapy. Provides consultation on all aspects of the provision of pharmacy services in the facility holding an Institutional II Pharmacy. Ensures each licensed facility meets legal, accreditation and certification requirements; complies with applicable policies, procedures, codes and standards. Facilitates the development, implementation and maintenance of drug delivery systems and quality assurance programs to promote quality patient outcomes.
Bachelor's Degree or Doctor of Pharmacy Degree required
Registered Pharmacist and licensed in the State of Florida required
Licensed as a Consultant Pharmacist in the State of Florida required
ASHP accredited residency preferred
2 years hospital pharmacy experience preferred
Consultant pharmacist experience preferred
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
Demonstrated skills in organization, verbal and written communications, customer service, math, analysis, reading, following instruction, basic computer usage.
