Consultant, Inventory Coordinator

Tower Research Capital, a high-frequency proprietary trading firm founded in 1998, seeks an Inventory Coordinator consultant to join our Data Center team.

Responsibilities

• Managing a large stock room of technology assets and maintaining a general understanding of how, why, when, and by whom they are used

• Collaborating with technical personnel to identify equipment needs

• Receiving, unpacking, stocking, and verifying quantities of shipments and packages

• Properly packaging, sending, and tracking outgoing shipments

• Overseeing shipping logistics

• Recording, managing, and maintaining product inventory

• Rectifying stock shortages and placing orders

• Working with technical and non-technical teams to prepare inventory for projects

• Performing hardware warranty/RMA requests

• Performing ticket management as required

• Maintaining general organization of the local inventory room

• Working with managers on the creation and maintenance of inventory policies

• Liaising with remote offices on inventory audits to ensure global adherence to policies

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in a technical field

• 0-5 years of experience

• Ability to climb ladders and lift up to 50 lbs. as this is a physical position (this person will be standing, walking, climbing, lifting, etc. for much of the workday)

• Experience working with datacenter hardware

• Excellent written and oral communication abilities

• Strong arithmetic skills

• Basic computer knowledge, including spreadsheets

• Extremely detail-oriented and possess strong organizational skills

• Self-motivated, works quickly and efficiently on multiple tasks

• Valid driver's license with clean driving record

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with building technical equipment, including PCs, servers, racks, networks, etc.

• Troubleshooting skills including network, Linux, cabling, and general technology hardware

• Understanding of data center management and layout, including power, cooling, and cabling

• Passionate about technology

Anticipated hourly rate range is $20-30/hour.
