SQL-DBA

Requirement

Logical Database Administrator should be responsible for the logical aspects of a database, including schema design, data modeling, application tuning, and application performance assistance. Should have extensive knowledge of the business applications and requirements with Extensive experience and knowledge.

Roles and Responsibilities

Good experience in IT Industry in MSBI and Technologies requires hands-on experience in enterprise applications development.

Experience in MS SQL Server Configuration, Performance tuning, Query optimization, Back-up/recovery, running Database Consistency Checks using DBCC. Extensive knowledge on system analysis, design, development, testing and implementation of projects (SDLC) and capable of handling responsibilities independently as well as a proactive team member.

Results-driven, versatile programmer and good understanding of all the phases of SDLC from inception phase to production

Proficient knowledge required on Transact-SQL Programming and in Design and Normalization of the database tables

Good in implementing business logic using T-SQL Queries, Indexes, Views, Stored procedures, User defined functions and Triggers, and developing complex codes, Optimized the performance of queries with modifications in T-SQL queries, removed unnecessary columns, and eliminated redundant and inconsistent data.

Must be proficient in analyzing the different types of Execution Plans.

Create/Develop and Modify Tables, Stored Procedures, Views, Indexes, User-defined Functions, and Triggers etc.

Identifying and resolving the fragmentation and deadlock issues.

Expertise in creating the indexes on tables and partitioning the table for SQL tuning purpose

Expertise in writing procedures, functions, views, materialized views as required in PL/SQL

Expertise on performance tuning and migration activities in the project, Modify database structures as directed by business for test/develop environments and assist with Coding, Design and performance tuning.

Review business and functional requirement specifications.

Perform database transfers and queries tune-up, integrity verification, data cleansing, analysis and interpretation.

Create and schedule SSIS Jobs using SQL Scheduler, SQL Server Agent for daily, weekly and monthly loads.

Generate Sub-Reports, Drilldown reports, Drill through reports and Parameterized reports using SSRS.

Involve in Scheduling, creating snapshots and Subscriptions for the reports using SSRS.

Work on all the major SQL-skills like Aggregates, Views, Database objects, stored procedures.

Work very closely with Business Customers, End Users and resolve any business process related issues.

Good Understanding of creating Power BI reports by reading OLAP cubes data, excel pivot reports

Experience in full SDLC methodology including Waterfall and Agile based Scrum.

Troubleshoot complex database issues in accurate and timely manner ensuring compliance to SLAs / OLAs

Maintain database operational, disaster recovery, backup procedures/processes to ensure continuous availability and speedy recovery

Responsible to maintain a good, healthy & friendly team environment

Strong understanding of project deployment cycle, and end-to-end project deployment, including technical documentation

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Should be willing to work in flexible shift timings (as per requirements)

Experience ramping quickly in a fast-moving environment, Quick learner with strong initiative.

Excellent analytical and communication, and problem-solving skills.

Experience with Cloud platforms/technologies will be a plus
