Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide support and guidance on HEDIS data integration, HEDIS reporting, and HEDIS, measurement and performance

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for HEDIS, CAHPS and Medicare Star Ratings HEDIS reporting

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for HEDIS data integration, retrospective and prospective

  • Provide project management support for consulting engagements

  • Provide consulting support for client engagements

  • Develop ETLs and support client migrations to new certified HEDIS software

  • Conduct root cause analysis at the measure level and develop data solutions designed to improve HEDIS rates

  • Support the development, launch and execution of new consulting offerings and technical tools managed by the clinical quality consulting practice group

  • Support business development/sales efforts by serving as a HEDIS SME as part of client sales presentations and/or developing slide decks and written content to support RFP responses and client proposals

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree

  • 5 years of experience in HEDIS data integration and reporting operations

  • 5 years of HEDIS data analysis experience

  • 3 years of HEDIS technical specification experience

  • 3 years of SAS experience

  • SQL business analyst/complex script writing

  • Strong project management skills

  • Ability to travel up to 80%

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree

  • SAS Certified Base Programmer

  • MCSA SQL Certified Database Developer certification

  • Experience with HEDIS measure development

As a Business Analytics Consultant you will be predominantly involved in creating and analyzing customer reports using Microsoft Office tools, as well as cutting edge technologies. You will develop a solid understanding of our business goals, objectives, metrics and deliverables. Primary Responsibilities: * Work directly with our customers, internal and external, as the data subject matter expert for the Dual Special Needs (DSNP) programs * Develop a deep understanding of the DSNP programs, systems, and operations in order to create comprehensive reporting across multiple data systems and sources including but not limited to financial and clinical outcomes, clinical efficiency reporting, and performance management reporting * Streamline existing DSNP reports to produce meaningful outcomes and drive to common knowledge and understanding of DSNP data * Collaborate with internal analytics teams to manage outcomes on a day to day basis: create alignment on data analytics methodologies used, identify and resolve data issues as they arise, and create a consistent approach to how we share outcomes for the DSNP programs * Lead analysis, synthesis and reporting of the customer's clinical and value measures with focus on identifying underlying issues and or emerging trends to drive action * Support reporting needs of internal and external customers as requested * Learn the technical aspects of the data delivery processes * Create external client data analytics and reporting * Collaborate with internal cross functional teams to assist in the development and review of business requirements * Develop technical specifications and design for reporting applications * Actively participate in end-user testing of reporting applications and data marts * Create and maintain process documentation for all client specific reports * Consistently ask and answer the "so what" questions * Manage projects and drive work streams - balancing customer requirements with organizational production challenges, costs and turnaround time standards * Confidently customer-facing: can defend data, can take input / feedback, can consultatively say no by providing a range of alternatives, particularly those promoting the standard approach Required Qualifications: * 5 years of experience in Data Analysis including medical expense trend analysis, risk triangles / tables, and worst / best / standard case analysis for underwritten risk analysis * 3 years of experience within Healthcare industry * Intermediate proficiency with Excel (V look ups, pivot tables) and PowerPoint Preferred Qualifications: * Experience performing analysis on dual eligibility programs, Medicare, or Medicaid * Tableau experience * SQL experience * SAS experience * Access experience * Outstanding verbal and written communications skills * Solid understanding of project management principles and methodology Careers with Optum.
