As a Consultant, Advisory, you will join a driven, collaborative team within an ambitious, entrepreneurial global organization. You will work collaboratively with a team of analysts and consultants, actively participating in the delivery of consultative services including but not limited to driving market research, executing Request For Proposals (RFPs), performing contract reviews, building supplier relationships, managing data analysis, and overseeing report development for our customers. You will be responsible for developing and executing end-to-end strategies to reduce costs of procured goods and services, streamlining and improving current processes while maintaining or improving all qualitative aspects of the supplier relationship.

You will be applying analytical and critical thinking skills to overcome complex challenges and determine the most effective and efficient ways to deliver results that achieve our customers business outcomes. This will encompass performing data manipulation and analysis, identifying issues and solutions through stakeholder and supplier discussions, researching and understanding market trends and utilizing market intelligence to shape forward decisions. In this role you will be responsible for researching and understanding assorted technologies, technology managed service providers, as well as telecommunications and networking solutions.

This key position reports to the Vice President, Advisory within our Global Customer Success team, and offers the opportunity to invest in your own professional development. Your deliverables and results will be presented to the extended management team allowing you to showcase your strengths to senior management whether it be implementing processes, negotiating pricing and business terms with suppliers, or assisting in internal development and process improvement. As a Consultant, Advisory youll be responsible for:

  • Functioning as a decision support consultant for our customers while managing projects to completion
  • Designing and shaping sourcing strategies with senior management
  • Leading teams of analysts to assist with sourcing strategy execution, ensuring that set objectives are achieved
  • Developing RFPs and executing a strategic sourcing strategy (go to bid, analyze responses, negotiate, etc.)
  • Conducting stakeholder and supplier interviews, documenting quantitative and qualitative customer requirements.
  • Collaborating with and playing a role within the IT and Telecommunication Category, designing and assessing infrastructure and network strategies
  • Creating complex financial analysis in MS Excel to review prior costs and help select the optimal solution of new supplier pricing in terms of total cost of ownership
  • Identifying areas for cost reduction or value improvement within the supply chain
  • Evaluating information gathered from multiple sources, reconciling conflicts, and distinguishing user requests from underlying true needs
  • Assisting in the reading, negotiation, and modification of large enterprise contracts
  • Conducting research activities to produce detailed reports related to competitive markets, sourcing strategies, cost savings opportunities and benchmarking
  • Monitoring industry trends and trade publications, providing key subject matter expertise to our customers
  • Traveling up to 20% per client needs


Youll need to have:

  • A Bachelors Degree OR equivalent experience in lieu of degree will be considered
  • Several years of project management experience
  • Several years of experience in IT Software and Hardware, Networking, Telecommunications, or Technology Managed Services
  • Strong MS Office expertise, including demonstrated knowledge of formula writing in MS Excel
  • Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent creative thinking skills with emphasis on developing innovative solutions to solve complex problems that may not have one clear answer
  • Ability to navigate various procurement and sourcing technologies and embrace a consultative mindset within a technology organization
  • The ability to read and understand contracts, pricing proposals, and network drawings with specifications in various formats
  • Understanding of networking and IT/ telecom infrastructure processes and systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities and projects
  • A Self-starter mindset, with a demonstrated ability to translate direction, feedback, and strategy into actionable results
  • Experience in planning, coordinating, and executing multiple projects simultaneously across customers
