Job Description:

As a Consultant in Cerner's Acute/Ambulatory space you will consult with clients on service line workflow, and guide them through interdependencies and design decision impacts, as well as provide solution oversight, direction and expertise to stakeholders. You will be responsible for driving client-specific solution configuration design to meet workflow requirements and make recommendations to clients, mitigating solution risks and issues and the execution of workflow and process improvement strategies.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Health Care, Business, related field or equivalent and relevant work experience

  • At least 4 years of software implementation work experience

  • At least 4 years of health care information technology consulting and/or support work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of Cerner PhysicianTrack solution workflow, design and/r or build work experience


  • Must be willing to travel up to 100% as needed

  • Currently reside in or willing to relocate to the Kansas City metropolitan area, or reside near a major international airport

  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations

  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position

Required Skills * High School Diploma or equivalent required * Must obtain BLCS certification within 120 days of hire and maintain training during employment * Unlicensed Assistive Personnel training or the training requirements will be waived if an employee demonstrates competency in the conten areas required by regulatory requirements; in the duties specific to their job and the patient population assigned; and: * Is enrolled in a professional or practical nursing education program and has completed a fundamentals of nursing course; or * Was a professional nursing or practical nursing licensure candidate who failed to pass the state licensure examinations in the past three (3) years; or * Is certified as a nursing assistant per state regulation; or * Is certified or has had formal training that meets the UAP curriculum; or * Has documented experience as a nurse assistant, emergency medical technician or surgical technician in the past three (3) years; or * Has proof of completion of UAP training program in Missouri within the last three (3) years which meets the requirements of this policy; or * Has completed a professional or licensed practical nursing program outside the United States and is awaiting the licensure examination in this country.
