What You'll Do:
This individual is accountable for the teaching and supervision of students in all of the Construction cluster programs in collaboration with the other construction program instructors. This program falls under Chapter 74, Massachusetts state frameworks and curriculum disciplines, under the direction of the CTE Director and the CTI Program Manager.
Role Responsibilities:
Responsible for the development and implementation of departmental curriculum objectives and competencies.
Responsible for the integration of the department's curriculum where appropriate and for the alignment of the CVTE state frameworks to the course.
Performance of other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree (Required); Master's Degree (Preferred)
Required Chapter 74 Massachusetts teaching certification/licensure in either Carpentry, Electrical, Welding, Plumbing, HVAC, or Building and Property Maintenance
OSHA & Red Cross train the trainer certification or willingness to become a trainer in the first year of service.
Five years of recent (within the last seven years) full-time employment experience directly related to a construction program
Evidence of mastery of various teacher competencies and understanding of instructional techniques.
Demonstrated skill and working knowledge of various construction methods, including but not limited to health and safety Knowledge, technical drawings and blueprints, building repair and alteration, welding, electrical, building, and grounds maintenance.
Demonstrated skill and working knowledge of recordkeeping and client relations.
Demonstrated skill and working knowledge of energy efficiency and green building technologies.
Second language (Spanish and/or Portuguese) proficiency a plus

Current authorization to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced educational preparation.
Evidence of educational leadership.
Curriculum development experience and knowledge of technical competencies with curriculum frameworks.
Demonstrated experience supporting students with disabilities.
Demonstrated experience supporting English language Learners.
