9 months; Monday - Friday 7am-3pm
$20.28 /hour for 120-day probationary period; then $22.54

PROVIDES ASSISTANCE TO THE TEACHER AND HOME BUILDERS' ASSOCIATION BY
Supervising and instructing small groups of students in plumbing; carpentry, painting, layout work, concrete work; framing, electrical, sheet rock, mechanical work, roofing, hanging doors, trim out, staining, wallpapering, hanging draperies and rods
Training students in appropriate use and maintenance of tools
Monitoring student safety regarding site conditions, ladder and scaffolding, overhead dangers, ground conditions and other potential dangers
PREPARES FOR HOME BUILDING BY
Inventorying and purchasing materials
Securing supplies, tools, equipment and building materials
Maintaining all tools and tool repair
PROVIDES CLERICAL ASSISTANCE BY
Preparing and coding invoices and statements for the Home Builders' Association
Maintaining records of distribution of tools and equipment needing repair
Maintaining all inventories of supplies and equipment
Employee supervises students in the classroom and at the construction site.
To perform this job successfully, an employee must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. High school diploma or equivalant; five years experience at the Journeyman level of carpenter or skilled tradesman; valid driver's license; special knowledge, advanced skills and abilities in the construction trade; carpentry; electrical; plumbing; painting; drywall; concrete form and flat work; sheet metal; transit; blueprint reading; and operating a school bus. The physical demands that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job include standing, walking, bending, sitting, lifting (with assistance) up to 100 pounds, driving.
