Construction Superintendent

We are a family-owned business seeking an experienced construction superintendent to manage our projects and ensure they are delivered on time and within budget. We have grown our business by building mutually rewarding relationships. Therefore, this role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with all project stakeholders. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience building multi-million dollar multi-family structures, developing and managing the project schedule and leading a team of employees as well as subcontractors. Responsibilities

• Integrate all assigned phases of the project into the whole including, but not limited to, quality control, safety and personnel management.
• Supervise and coach staff and provide regular, constructive feedback to train and develop.
• Develop the entire 4-week schedule from start to finish and be able to modify it.
• Run pre-cons and manage subcontractor correspondence.
• Identify and appropriately resolve issues during construction.
• Ensure safety, compliance and quality regulations are followed.
• Communicate project progress with clients and project managers on a regular basis.
• Manage and collaborate with subcontractors to address project needs
• Plan inspections and obtain construction permits from local authorities
• Ensure the job site remains safe, clean, and organized

Requirements

• Requires 5-7 years’ experience leading the construction of multi-family housing
• Demonstrated knowledge of various trades (MEP, structural details, sitework/utilities)
• Skill in reading project plans and specifications with the ability to complete a full plan and spec review for a project
• In-depth understanding of construction operations and processes
• 1-3 years of supervisory experience with the ability to coach and train subordinate staff
• Strong project management and communications skills
• OSHA 30 certification
• Knowledge of local quality, safety, and health guidelines for construction job sites
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Organizational and time-management skills
