Construction Site Supervisor

Job Description Job Description Salary: 60/65K Shelby Construction is a General Construction company working on Residential Construction and CommercialConstruction. We are now hiring Site Supervisors who will manage subcontractors on a job site.

A Site Supervisor must have: Experience in the construction field with Pre-Construction, Framing, reading Blueprints, Punch Out Lists, Shop Drawings, Renovations, Change Orders, Cost Estimating, Take Offs, Scope Development. An excellent ability to communicate with people.

The ability to run people so that they complete the project with excellent results. The capability to direct and run subcontractors so well that they look forward to working with Shelby Construction in the future. The ability to handle a high level of motion and co-motion on a job site.

The ability to ensure that all subcontractors get the exact product with the correct standards. The ability to spot deviation from the exact product and correct this as needed to the standards of Shelby Construction. The ability to follow directions.

The ability to think for themselves meaning they can propose solutions to problems or can implement solutions to problems that may come up on the site. A comprehensive understanding of standard building processes and building codes to ensure that the project is being produced under those circumstances. The basic functions of the Site Supervisor are:

Utilize plans and designs as the guidelines for getting the job done. Ensuring there is a clean, safe job site.

To coordinate all the subcontractors and materials so that each part of the project is completed within the expected time frame and at a very high standard.

To make sure inspections are rapidly completed with approvals so that the project can continue to move forward. Maintain good communication with the clients on the progress of the project along with solutions to any issue that may come up. Reporting back to your senior at Shelby Construction on the progress of the project including any problems or barriers that may come up so that they can be swiftly addressed and resolved.
