Cleveland Construction is seeking a Construction Site Clerk for a project in Orlando, FL. Responsibilities include answering phones, filing, clerical duties, handling mail, and other duties as assigned. The successful candidate will be proficient in use of computer programs, Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, and copiers.

Skills/Knowledge/Job Responsibilities:

  • General clerical tasks including: answering phones, filing, mail and meeting minutes

  • Use of technology including fax, scanner and computer

  • Proficient level experience in MS Office

  • Maintain a high-level of customer service to internal and external customers

  • Ability to work cross functionally with departments and team members

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Other duties as assigned

Education / Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 1-3 years' experience in performing general office skills

  • Willingness to learn and grow within the role

Physical Demands / Working Conditions

  • Sitting for long periods of time

  • Walking from job office to project site on occasion 1 block

  • Completing tasks using a computer and other office equipment

  • Position requires frequent talking, hearing, and vision with occasional standing, walking and reaching

  • May require lifting up to 30 lbs.

Assure a timely and logical progression of the work in your assigned community(s). Implement and accomplish the division's policies, goals and objectives for profitably, on time deliveries, community production, customer satisfaction, home quality, job site safety and cleanliness. Coordinates activities between and with other division associates to maximize our productivity. Maintain accurate written records. #CB Responsibilities Primary Duties and Responsibilities * Lead, coach, mentor and manage individuals and team to ensure top performance of all team members in achieving desired results while finding efficient and effective solutions that create overall organizational value. * Supervise Construction Managers and business partners to assure that they accomplish their assigned duties and responsibilities. * Oversee the scheduling and supervision of daily business partner activities in accordance with job schedule and business partner scopes of work. * Assure that Build Pro schedules are maintained for each job on a daily basis. * Ensure the Division's implementation of the LEMS including the Storm Water, Air Quality, Endangered Species, Environmental Site Assessment and Wetlands modules. * Interact with the Regional Environmental Manager (REM) on a regular basis. * Ensure that the SWPPP and dust control plans are implemented. * Review SWPPP prior use in the community. Assist the REM with content and adequacy audits of the new SWPPP's; modify SWPPP to meet requirements, and report results to the REM. * Assist the REM with SWPPP implementation audits, documentation of associated corrective actions, and reporting of results. * Strive to reduce liability of regulatory notices of violation and subsequent future litigation, penalties and fines. * Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of assigned communities. * Recruit, actively communicate with, and train business partners on safety, quality requirements and payment procedures, to assure a solid vendor base. * Be involved personally and proactively with any actual or perceived vendor scheduling, communication or payment related issues. * Be familiar with each trade partners "scope of work" and assure that properly completed work is certified for payment on a weekly basis. * Assure job site safety. * Complete each home within 42 days of reporting stage/week seven complete. * Ensure that the work is in compliance and obtain all required progress and statutory inspections including: Governmental, Structural Engineer, Green Z , VA, and mortgage appraisal inspections. Walk with government inspectors to ensure timely approvals. * Train associates to perform a New Home Demonstrations with homeowner and attend New Home Demonstrations when possible to supervise the interaction between our Construction Managers and our Homebuyer. * Attend Homebuyer Orientation(s) when possible. * Maintain a current working knowledge of all applicable building codes and OSHA job safety regulations * Secure the Company's property and protect if from weather, theft, vandalism and other damage. * Be able to analyze proper construction techniques. * Understand the manufacturer's recommendations for use and application of their products. * Direct, train and supervise Lennar construction field associates as assigned. * Oversee the scheduling, supervision, payment, training and recruiting of the Business Partners employed by Lennar LLC. Qualifications Education and Experience Requirements * High School diploma or equivalent required, college degree preferred * Minimum 5 years experience in construction, engineering and/or construction management * Valid drivers license and a good driving record required * Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) * Solid understanding of residential construction and architectural design * Professionally perform multiple, detailed-oriented tasks with simultaneous deadlines * Good writing and organization skills * Possess strong work ethic, integrity and loyalty * Team player with the ability to work well under pressure Lennar Orlando FL
