To be an active, supportive participant within the team. To promote a high level of customer satisfaction through assistance in planning and installation of electric and gas service.
The Construction Services Technician will:
Assist in the design and coordinate with the construction design representatives for the selection of proper materials for new construction, maintenance and replacement of damaged Company facilities.
Prepare or process job drawings, material lists and material requisitions.
Answer customer inquiries as to construction standards, gas availability and costs, construction scheduling concerns, general questions and complaints.
Finish paperwork and ensures proper entries are made in CSS and WMS, to include completed metering data.
Capture and report out on metrics.
Provide data to Risk Management, Stores, Engineering and Finance Departments.
Requires demonstrated ability to plan, organize and coordinate multiple projects and to work effectively with all parties involved. Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a natural gas or electric distribution related field.
Must possess basic computer skills and ability to learn computer applications (GIS/AFM, Oracle, CSS, WMS, Microsoft Suite, etc.). Specialized job-related training in gas and electric design, map reading and familiarity with applicable codes, tariffs and requirements preferred. Other combinations of education/experience may be considered.
