The Construction Quality Control Manager will be responsible for the development, implementation and oversight of Quality Management Plan for the project
Ensures that the Contractor's Quality Control activities and the facilitation of the Commission's Quality Assurance activities are performed in accordance with the Contract Documents and the approved QMP. The QM has the authority to ensure compliance with the QMP by all Contractor Parties and is not subordinate to any personnel directly performing, supervising, or progressing the construction work.
The QM will develop and submit to the Commission a plan for the uniform reporting, controlling, correcting, and resolving of any non-conformance issues that may arise on the Project. The QM will also provide a monthly quality report to the Commission, which includes summaries of Quality Control staff and activities, test results, nonconforming work, quality problems and resolutions, and engagement with the Commission's Quality Assurance staff.
The CQCM reports to the SLD JV QM and is responsible for the following:
- Representing SLD JV in all quality control management-related matters.
- Applying the Quality Policy.
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining the QMP.
- Reporting to the QM on the functioning of the System, proposing its review and improvement whenever necessary.
- Directing and coordinating the activities of Quality staff, and providing training as required.
- Distributing and controlling the original copies of the approved QMP and all its revisions.
- Recommending or providing solutions or improvement actions and verifying their implementation.
- Arranging quality training for project management personnel.
- Prepare and submit the Monthly Quality Report (MQR), including design and construction performance, nonconformities, corrective action status, audits, lessons learned, and compliance with objectives.
- Keeping all quality records in electronic files available for review by the GDC.
- Leading Non-Conformance management through the quality team with the collaboration of the rest of the organization.
- Identifying actions necessary to prevent and correct Non-Conformances through Preventive and Corrective Actions.
- Resolve issues related to construction quality.
- Issuing Stop Work Orders for non-conforming or unsafe work.
- Review submittals for compliance with contract specifications and drawings.
- Conduct follow-up meetings for the quality audits.
