Construction Purchasing Coordinator

Job Description Job Description CONSTRUCTION PURCHASING COORDINATOR EMC Services, Inc.-Industrial Construction Company We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Construction Purchasing /Expediating Coordinator with at least 5 years of experience in the Industrial Construction industry. Must have supervisory experience.

Must be computer literate and proficient in MS Outlook, Word and Excel, and have extensive knowledge of Industrial Construction (General Contractor)-for example must know the process, what tools, materials, equipment will be needed for a jobsite. Have knowledge and understanding of accounting documentation. Expediating and Warehousing Material:

Requires experience and knowledge to schedule delivery of material, tools, or equipment and routing driver in a timely, efficient and safe manner. Must be able to effectively oversee the rental of tools/equipment, which may include negotiating prices with vendors. Is responsible for the warehousing and inventory of materials, equipment and tools.

Must have hands on experience in the operation of all or some of the following types of equipment: backhoe, skid steers, man-lift, etc. Maintenance and Upkeep of Equipment and Tools: Shall be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of tools and equipment.

Should have experience and knowledge in basic repair of tools and equipment. Must maintain a thorough record in order to track tools and equipment. Is responsible for keeping and maintaining accurate records of maintenance, repairs on tools or equipment.

As needed, will be responsible for the purchasing of tools and equipment. Will be responsible for the storage of all tools, equipment, and materials as they come back from the field. Shall establish and maintain an inventory list of the tools and supplies in the toolroom and maintain and accurate and up to date list.

Ensure that there are sufficient quantities of supplies on hand. Facilities Maintenance: Is responsible for the maintenance of buildings and the yard.

Shall oversee and handle the dumpster and recycling program. Supervisory Duties: Must have the experience to supervise and oversee the duties of the Material Delivery Driver.

Will ensure that the driver performs their duties in a safe, efficient and timely manner. Additional Qualifications: Must have a proven track record of completing work on time and on budget.

Must be able to make sound decisions at times without guidance. Should be a self-starter. Must demonstrate leadership skills to effectively train and mentor others.

Must possess excellent verbal and written skills. Shall be able to work and communicate effectively with others inside and outside of the company. Must be able to work in a quickly changing team environment is required.
