What You Will Be Doing

Core Duties:

  • Establish and defines project scope, budget and schedule to assure common agreement between ETC and the Client as to the expectations for the project.

  • Bid the project to subcontractors, vet subcontractor bids to assure completeness of subcontractor scope, negotiate subcontracts to achieve optimal value. Oversee a timely buy-out of all materials/vendors for project.

  • Meet the financial objectives of the project by managing the project budget throughout the project lifecycle. Maintaining consistency between budgeted costs and actual costs and assuring the profitability of the project.

  • Manages pay application process to ensure accurate and timely submissions to client.

  • Identifies and manages risk on the project. Advises Business Unit Leader prior to implementing risk mitigation actions.

  • Ensures workplace health and safety policies and procedures (QA/QC) are clearly communicated and understood by entire project team.

  • Manage the project schedule throughout the project lifecycle maintaining consistency between the projected and actual schedules, and driving the necessary corrections where the progress of the project diverges from the original schedule.

  • Responsible for overseeing all project documentation including subcontracts, schedules, budgets, change orders, meeting minutes, submittals, RFIs, etc.

  • Manage project communications to maintain clear and timely responses so that all members of the project team Client, subcontractors, the design team, field staff, administrative staff, and all others involved in the project fully understand the total project expectations and what is necessary to meet said objectives.

  • Proactively manages the training and professional development of the Superintendent, Project Engineer and Project Coordinator.

  • Participates in preparation and negotiation of owner contracts and ensures delivery and adherence to contractual requirements.

  • Oversees orderly project closeout efforts, organization of project documentation and coordination of warranty work.

  • Manages Client relations and customer service by maintaining a consistent line of communication with Client. Being proactive by responding succinctly and decisively to all requests of the Client, changes or variances of scope of work on the job and any issues that you foresee coming up on a project. Represents the clients best interests at all times.

  • Supports and participates in business development and marketing efforts including the preparation of proposals and presentations for new work and active participation in the business community.

  • Manage multiple projects concurrently and in differing stages of work each with the same level of commitment to success.
    What You Need for this Position

Job Requirements:

  • Microsoft Office Proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Scheduling Software Proficiency ( Project, P3, P6)

  • MasterBuilder Software preferred

  • Procore Software preferred

  • Advanced understanding of project plans and specifications

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (internal and external)

  • Ability to work on several projects concurrently

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and take initiative

  • Ability to effectively manage and direct employees

  • Knowledge of OSHPD standards and requirements strongly preferred

What You Will Be Doing Core Duties: - Responsible for holding coordination meetings with Subcontractors and scheduling team members from different trades to meet the requirements of the project schedule. - Reading and interpreting drawings to ensure the project is being built per the approved plans and specifications. Perform QC walks to confirm the installation’s match the approved drawings as well as material inspections to confirm the installed materials match the approved submittals. - Scheduling inspections with the Inspector of Record or City Inspectors depending on governing authority. This includes the scheduling of deputy inspectors. - Hold Weekly Tailgate safety meetings and ensure the company’s safety program is being followed. Be the onsite presence that enforces safety and holds individuals and companies accountable for creating a safe environment. - Attend OAC meetings and represent the company in a respectful and professional manner. - Work with the Project Manager to develop the project schedule and update it throughout the project. - Develop 3 week-look-ahead’s and send to the Project Manager for review. - Review Submittals with the project engineer for conformance prior to it being submitted to the Architect / Engineer. - Generate RFI’s. - Review Sub-contractor COR’s for validity and cost. - Keep updated and current as-built drawings. - Develop procurement logs with the Project Engineer and help ensure long lead items are ordered in a timely manner. - Perform material take offs and estimated man hours for any in-house work generated through change order’s. - Create and/or follow through with punch list items to ensure all outstanding issues get closed.
