What You Will Be Doing

Core Duties:

  • Establish and defines project scope, budget and schedule to assure common agreement with the Client as to the expectations for the project.

  • Bid the project to subcontractors, vet subcontractor bids to assure completeness of subcontractor scope, negotiate subcontracts to achieve optimal value. Oversee a timely buy-out of all materials/vendors for project.

  • Meet the financial objectives of the project by managing the project budget throughout the project lifecycle. Maintaining consistency between budgeted costs and actual costs and assuring the profitability of the project.

  • Manages pay application process to ensure accurate and timely submissions to client.

  • Identifies and manages risk on the project. Advises Business Unit Leader prior to implementing risk mitigation actions.

  • Ensures workplace health and safety policies and procedures (QA/QC) are clearly communicated and understood by entire project team.

  • Manage the project schedule throughout the project lifecycle maintaining consistency between the projected and actual schedules, and driving the necessary corrections where the progress of the project diverges from the original schedule.

  • Responsible for overseeing all project documentation including subcontracts, schedules, budgets, change orders, meeting minutes, submittals, RFIs, etc.

  • Manage project communications to maintain clear and timely responses so that all members of the project team Client, subcontractors, the design team, field staff, administrative staff, and all others involved in the project fully understand the total project expectations and what is necessary to meet said objectives.

  • Proactively manages the training and professional development of the Superintendent, Project Engineer and Project Coordinator.

  • Participates in preparation and negotiation of owner contracts and ensures delivery and adherence to contractual requirements.

  • Oversees orderly project closeout efforts, organization of project documentation and coordination of warranty work.

  • Manages Client relations and customer service by maintaining a consistent line of communication with Client. Being proactive by responding succinctly and decisively to all requests of the Client, changes or variances of scope of work on the job and any issues that you foresee coming up on a project. Represents the clients best interests at all times.

  • Supports and participates in business development and marketing efforts including the preparation of proposals and presentations for new work and active participation in the business community.

  • Manage multiple projects concurrently and in differing stages of work each with the same level of commitment to success.
    What You Need for this Position

Job Requirements:

  • Microsoft Office Proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Scheduling Software Proficiency ( Project, P3, P6)

  • MasterBuilder Software preferred

  • Procore Software preferred

  • Advanced understanding of project plans and specifications

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (internal and external)

  • Ability to work on several projects concurrently

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and take initiative

  • Ability to effectively manage and direct employees

  • Knowledge of OSHPD standards and requirements strongly preferred

The IT Project Management Office is responsible for setting the standards for Prime IT projects by defining and managing the project/program governance processes for all IT projects regarding project scoping & planning, new project intake & approval process, prioritizing, tracking, project communication, project documentation and reporting project status. With direction from the Corporate CIO, the PMO is responsible for institutionalize project life cycle methodology and management of the overall IT project portfolio.The IT PMO Project Manager will support the PMO PM team in managing and directing on-going IT projects and programs for Prime Healthcare. As a PMO PM, this position is expected to undertake small to mid-size projects/programs that are mid-level in complexity. He/she will be running the day-to-day coordination of IT projects and programs, in accordance with the established PMO standards. The PM is responsible to ensure all projects are properly documented and implemented in accordance to the approved project charter until the project/program is reassigned, cancelled or completed. The IT PMO PM is responsible for reporting and communicating the status of all their assigned project/programs, on a weekly basis to all business stakeholders, PMO Manager and IT Leadership. Project financial tracking and analysis will be monitored and reported, where information is able.This position is expected to be a self-starter needing little guidance and direction to manage their assigned projects. Qualifications:1.Three (3) or more years of applicable work experience within project management 2.Required certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) from PMI, or equivalent using PMI methodology3.Some experience managing both operational and technical projects/programs all levels of complexity and size4.Experience managing multiple projects consecutively 5.Understanding and experience with various project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, etc.)6.Bachelors degree in Healthcare Management or Computer Science or related field7.Knowledge of integrated healthcare information systems preferred (Epic, Meditech, On-Base)8.Knowledge of healthcare industry and hospital operations preferred9.Experience managing and leading teams who are indirect reports 10.Strong computer skills including Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and MS Project 11.Strong written and oral communication skills are a must12.Occasionally works at night, weekends, holidays and some travel may be required. #LI-DNI Prime Healthcare Systems Ontario CA
