If you are a Construction Project Manager
Oversee the timely submittal process, review, and execution with public agencies relative to permitting, approvals, and safety of project changes by the owner and trade contractors.
Hold weekly site progress meetings with the owner, architect, and key trade contractors in addition to other meetings such as project estimate review, start-up, monthly interim, and close out meetings.
Meet with the Local, State, and General Contractor to review budget, means and methods, and project phasing and scheduling.
Review critical path and phasing schedule to determine all critical tasks required and to insure the least disruption to traffic flow to the properties.
Make field decisions in matters affecting planning, supervision, personnel, costs, safety and quality control.
Assist in analyzing the project budget.
Provide technical recommendation regarding the construction sequence, material selections.? Analyze integration between civil engineering plans and contractors means and methods.
Support change order negotiations and approve change order requests. Review and approve monthly pay applications.
Work with the Superintendents in preparing and updating the detailed construction schedule and with adhering to the schedule for early project close-out and final acceptance by the owner.
Understand the owners financial goals for the project; communicate those goals to the project team; manage the owners expectations.es.
What You Need for this Position
More Than 7 Years of experience and knowledge of:
Bachelor s degree in Construction or Engineering, Civil engineering preferred
7+years of civil and public site work and excavation experience
Ability to efficiently manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously under time constraints
Experience in driving accountability for financial and operational effectiveness, integrating and aligning efforts within teams, monitoring results, and tackling problems directly
Self-motivated, team player, detail oriented, conduct business in the highest legal and ethical manner
Proficiency with scheduling, spreadsheets (Excel, Word), cost control, and project management software. Prolog, Microsoft Project, P6, and other construction programs preferred
