Role: Project Manager
Drywall Location: Alexandria, VA (hybrid) Duration: Direct Hire The Project Manager
Drywall is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of production for assigned projects, ensuring successful outcomes through effective communication, technical understanding, and proactive management of contracts and subcontractors. This role requires a strong focus on project profitability, safety, and quality control, while also mentoring team members and maintaining positive relationships with clients and vendors.
Requirements: 5 years of drywall project management experience. Proficient in construction estimating software; On Screen Takeoff/QB experience is a plus. Proficient in reading and understanding plans, specifications, and Contract Documents.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Proficient in Project Management Software such as ProCore and Autodesk Build. Must own a reliable vehicle for travel to project sites.
Strong oral and written communication skills in English. Ability to handle and prioritize multiple assignments effectively. Responsibilities Review and manage the terms and conditions of Contract/Subcontract Agreements and associated documents.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams. Procure all labor, materials, equipment, and services in a timely manner. Ensure proper review and coordination of submittals, shop drawings, and samples for clients.
Track and communicate with suppliers to ensure timely fabrication and delivery of materials and equipment. Establish and report on the Project budget, including monthly forecasts and Cost to Complete reports. Pursue opportunities to enhance Project profitability and address potential impacts.
Representative for external Project meetings and lead internal Project Team meetings. Ensure timely communication of notices and documentation to clients and subcontractors. Manage Change Order documentation and proposals in accordance with contract terms.
Submit and manage Schedule of Values and monthly applications for payment to avoid underbilling. Proactively manage the receipt of progress payments and resolve change orders for timely payment. Promote a culture of safety and manage quality control programs.
Mentor direct reports and support their career development. Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendor.
