Job Summary

This role will be supporting Altice's aggressive network Project management initiatives which include FTTH Program, New Build and Business process improvement initiatives. This position represents a key function in the construction project work flow, and is responsible for the end-to-end completion of all assigned projects.

Responsibilities

  • Partners with system departments and assigned dispatch contacts for project prioritization and the management of escalations of construction build and filed installations.

  • Monitors fiber expansion and research associated with penetrations and completion of reservations requiring construction/field augmentation; IE: Day 2 fibers, construction overbuild.

  • Collaboration and management of research for Construction activated OLT's, pending equipment upgrade project/CMTS system IE: OLTT2, OLTT4 Upgrades/ XGSPON

  • Partners to develop and deliver system wide communication regarding the progress, accountabilities, and gaps in the progress of assigned construction projects, to deliver suggestions to direct manger

  • Researches and makes recommendations on procedures to enhance operational efficiencies associated with field/construction install completion rates and non-completion reasons as they trend.

  • Actively manages Ready for Service and Ready for Billing tracking and conversion.

  • Analyzes discrepancies in construction reported completions vs Newtin ready for billing conversion.

  • Management and updating of Fiber Construction data to prepare for construction in Smart FTTH CAT system (PDO Research associated with build type and assignment)

  • Supports the research associated with NB Fiber GPON construction build collaboration between FTTH Overbuild program & NB program reporting and synchronization.

  • Daily review and Preemptive research on all pending /future installations 24Hours Out, to ensure connectivity and reservations are appearing acceptable in Netwin to support customer install completion

  • Job Function requires technical understanding to monitor construction Network dependencies, fiber construction & design methodology, aerial and underground construction methods to ensure 100% completed customer connectivity and installation real time.

  • Full understanding of customer and hub equipment to ensure correct implementation for all new builds and fiber installations/conversions as well as methods of field construction

  • Knowledge of network connectivity and build methodologies to ensure correct equipment is constructed and designed for customer deployment

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated organizational management skills in a highly complex, fast growing technical environment.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with executive, senior management, peers, staff, vendors, and contractors

  • Proficiency in Excel and the creation of project reports required for management reporting and status updates

  • Ability to perform multiple tasks and adjust priorities based on workload and direction from management and customer

  • Advanced communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Demonstrated ability to resolve roadblocks to delivery in multi-organization teams where no direct management responsibility exists.

  • Ability to, calculate, design and track, contractor interaction and project tracking of RF and fiber engineering and as-build to support the rollout of services and provision of quality signal for broadband voice, video, and data/WiFi services.

  • Review, support and interact with GIS data and mapping regarding reports, mapping, object relationships, specifications, and as-build criteria related to provisioning.

  • Possess a high level of competence pertaining to map reading, interpretation, and support from a variety of sources; including but not limited to cable systems, utilities, engineering firms, mechanical and architectural, and map vendors. Ability to manipulate symbology for purposes of plotting for planning, engineering, field and presentation purposes.

  • Regular interaction with Outside Plant, Construction, Billing and Collections, Inside plant, Provisioning, and Sales to insure design accuracy for purposes of scheduled construction releases for installation and ready for service, promoting customer satisfaction

  • 4 Years of college or Equivalent experience.

  • Knowledge of CATV/Telco construction practices including but no limited too aerial and underground construction procedures

  • 3 Years experience in field construction or as a Designer.

  • Knowledge with computers including word, Visio, excel, Netwin, GIS System tools.

  • Experience in New Build or FTTH Construction processes, including working within the existing project management software (Workfront) preferred

  • 3+ years successful management of projects preferred

This position is identified as being performed in/or reporting to company operations in New York State. Salary ranges are supplied in compliance with New York State law. Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $66,088.00 - $108,573.00 / year. The rate/range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflect future job opportunity.
