The Construction Project Engineer will assist the Project Manager and the Project Superintendent in the areas of contract administration, scheduling, planning, procurement, cost control, change orders, safety, and SWMP administration and inspections.
Compensation $56,000 - $80,000 depending on experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
As a construction project engineer, you must combine the skills of a business manager with the technical know-how of an engineer. You will serve as liaison between the client, the construction project manager and the many subcontractors to ensure the construction project proceeds safely, accurately and smoothly.
As project engineer you will review the plans and specifications for the job to be sure that they are accurate and reasonable. You will assist with project submittals, scheduling, RFIs, change order request, procurement required paperwork, scheduling, material take-off and ordering, assist Superintendent, attend project meetings, site visits and more as determined by the Project Manager.
Qualifications:
Must exhibit a high degree of integrity, carry a positive attitude, have a willingness to add their expertise to many areas of the organization and maintain a strong work ethic. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering preferred, and/or equivalent experience; Experience with field construction or project coordinating a plus.
Demonstrated excellence in customer focus and quality commitment. Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite and other business software applications; scheduling software, experience with SAGE100 Construction Management software a plus.
