Job Description Job Description We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Construction Project Coordinator to join our team at SDA. As a Construction Project Coordinator, you will partner closely with our Construction Project Managers to plan, coordinate, and manage construction projects for our company from concept, design, construction, and into occupancy.
The ideal candidate must be extremely organized, able to manage multiple projects, be self-driven, and have experience in commercial construction. Your responsibilities will include assisting Construction Project Managers with specific administrative tasks related to their assigned projects. This includes aiding in organizing and communicating all the details of projects and specific assignments to team members.

This position will require travel up to 25%. Objectives of this role Assisting in the planning, coordinating, and managing all phases of construction projects, including project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout.
Liaising with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to monitor construction progress, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with federal lease specifications and quality standards. Conducting regular site visits to assess project progress, identify risks, and ensure compliance with lease/regulatory requirements. Actively participate in owner, architect, and construction (OAC) meetings.
Solid and empathetic communication skills to maintain effective communication with internal SDA leadership, as well as the general contractor and stakeholders to provide project updates, address concerns, and foster strong working relationships. Your tasks Coordinate and oversee construction activities in conjunction with the Construction Project Manager, ensuring adherence to project schedules and specifications. Sustain competing demands, meet deadlines, and coordinate with cross functional teams (subcontractors, vendors, agency, and internal labor). Monitoring the daily progress of projects.
Providing detailed updates to Project Managers, firm leadership, or other stakeholders. Organizing, developing and reviewing reports, submittals, requests for information (RFIs), invoices, contracts, and other financial files for easy access, ensuring that all project-related materials are current, properly filed and stored. · Obtain and maintain data, information, communications, and approvals required by project and company requirements between owner, architects, engineers, contractors/subcontractors, or other project stakeholders. Planning meetings and organizing project logistics, including management of agendas, minutes, and supporting documentation.
Attend project design and construction meetings in support of SDA representative(s). Align with Construction Project Manager to provide regular updates and reports on project status, including milestones, budget updates, and any significant developments or risks and issues. Direct project correspondence, preparing and reviewing project proposals, memos, minutes, and emails. Required skills and qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. 3 years of relevant experience in construction project coordination, with a track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
Excellent project coordination skills, including effective planning, organizing and prioritizing, as well as strong multi-tasking skills and attention to detail. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Time management skills with the ability to manage and meet competing deadlines.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Preferred skills and qualifications Proficiency in construction project management and scheduling tools. Knowledge of risk and issue management and budget management principles.
Experience in project coordination in large-scale construction projects. Knowledge of local construction regulations, permits, and approval processes. The ability to adapt to different situations and personalities.
Technical skills in Office Suite products, Bluebeam, and experience in construction software programs.
