Job Description Job Description Dickinson Cameron is hiring Construction Project Coordinators for our New York City office The right candidate for this position is a team player, with great initiative, organizational skills, time management, computer and communication skills, who will embrace our company's business values. With internal training and necessary support and resources, the project coordinators act on their own initiative to coordinate and close the projects. The Project Coordinator is responsible for working directly with multiple PMs and projects specific tasks within our core markets; as well as a moderate amount of contract administration between Dickinson Cameron, Clients and Subcontractors respectively. They will work closely with all members of the project team.
Qualifications: Minimum 4 years of experience in construction management with a commercial general contractor required , preferable in Tenant Improvement or restaurant construction. PC proficiency is essential with Microsoft Office and a strong working knowledge of Excel and a sophisticated construction package is preferred. Versed with reading construction plans, preferred Bachelor's Degree - construction management, business or similar fields a plus.

Update billing report, job cost reports constantly with invoices and approved change orders. Reconciles sub-contractor and supplier invoices to ensure timely payment along with final lien releases.
Assists PM during the bid process with subcontractors; collects subcontractors Certificate of Insurance with sufficient trade coverage Prepares job start-up form and matches the costs proposed on the final approved bid and maintains constantly updated job logs Processes & distributes RFIs, submittals to client/ sub-contractors in a timely manner under PM's supervision; maintains/reviews project logs (submittals, change orders and RFI's); Collects and maintains compliance and information for mall rules and regulations, submits and pays mall construction deposits and fees; Ensures permits are issued and in DCC's possession. Coordinates superintendent transportation and housing within budget; Ensures collection of all documentation kept at the jobsite. Distributes RFI's to client in a timely manner; Processes submittals both from/to client/ sub-contractors in a timely manner once approved Completes closeout process within 45 days of project turnover accurately.
Other duties as assigned The physical requirements of these positions are : Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers when working with computer software; Some activities convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly. Exerting up to 15 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time 8 hours or more; walking and standing are required occasionally or when visiting sites. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
