Construction Project Accountant - Chicago

Fun, vibrant team, very welcoming and great work life balance Full backlog of projects doing 95% repeat business About Our Client We are working with a family owned Owner's Representative out of the Downtown Chicago looking for a Project Accountant to join the team. The Construction Company are well-established and have a robust pipeline of future projects in the luxury custom residential market.

The business uses Sage300/Timberline accounting/project management software. The role will report to the Accounting Director and be a part of a Project Accounting team that also works closely with Project Managers. Job Description Produce weekly AP reports and report job cash flow.

Process weekly check runs based on Project Manager approval. Handle subcontractor inquiries timely. Collect, cost code, obtain approval and input into Sage300/Timberline system following company policies and procedures.

Vendor maintenance. Track Lien Waivers from subcontractors and ensures compliance. Manages special payment terms and monitoring joint check agreements.

Review cost code activity for accuracy Budget preparation and review with Project Manager. Review committed cost reports monthly. Responsible for preparing Requisitions (billings) for PM's review Accounts Receivable input and monitoring collection.
