Overview

RES is the nation's largest and most experienced provider of ecological restoration and water resource solutions. To date, we have restored over 294 stream miles and 58,024 wetland acres and conserved and preserved 9,100 acres of endangered species habitats. RES operations include planting over 14,000,000 restorative trees and reducing over 250 tons of polluting nutrients. RES navigates and streamlines the environmental permitting process with solutions that balance economic development and ecological sustainability through the establishment of mitigation/conservation banks, permittee responsible turnkey mitigation, and corporate social responsibility projects.

The purpose of this role is to serve as an Operator for the Lower Bois d'Arc reservoir project. This will include manual labor, crew management, equipment operation, construction oversight, and general upkeep around the project site.

Responsibilities

  • Operating equipment including; all terrain utility vehicles, tractors, skid loaders, track hoe's

  • Crew management and oversight; ensure all plants, erosion control products, and any maintenance work is conducted to specification and to a highly level of quality as expected by the Project Manager

  • Construction oversight; including day-to-day sub-contractor oversight

  • Responsible for looking after assets, individuals, and properties

  • Responsible for care of the buildings and grounds while living on the premises in order to provide better surveillance

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Two years of excavator experience

  • Experience operating equipment for utilities companies or golf course construction

  • Two years of field experience in ecological restoration and site management

  • CDL License

  • Work is seasonally steady and often will require over 40 hours per week. Some weekend work required during peak periods

  • High school Diploma or GED preferred

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to carry heavy loads of up to 50 pounds in rough terrain

  • Ability to use all standard hand tools, spray equipment, and mechanized landscaping equipment

  • Ability to operate standard construction equipment

Job Summary: The Senior Estimator is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the estimate, including pre-bid meeting attendance, preconstruction services, plan and specification procurement and reviews, posting project for bidding, quantity take offs, summary top sheets, directing and coordinating activities of the designated estimate to ensure that goals or objectives of the estimate and the company are accomplished timely, efficiently and within company guidelines. A team player, who is able to work with limited information to meet deadline goals. Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelors Degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university preferred and three to five years related experience and/or training. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: * Creates and executes estimating work plan to include: estimate preparation & set up, coordination of bidding activities, posting of plans and specifications to building connected and Share Point. * Coordinates and manages solicitation of quotes from vendors and subcontractors. * Reviews and understands plans and specifications with the ability to establish complete and proper scopes, recognizes conflicts or problems to provide complete and accurate estimate. * Performs quantity take offs and provide accurate scopes, counts and quantities. * Demonstrates Bid Evaluation Skills (Assist with and Finalize Bid Tabulation Sheets & Estimate Assembly) * Creates Supplemental Instructions to Bidders based upon project specific requirements. * Schedules and conducts pre-bid meetings for CMAR Projects and/or Special Projects. (Includes the ability to establish pre-bid meeting agendas.) * Manages Project Hand Off to Construction Operations to include: Schedule by Project Manager or others, hand off meeting, scope discussion, bid book preparation. * Negotiates and prepares scope revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers and sub-contractors.
