WSP is currently initiating a search for a Construction Office Administrator for our Colorado Springs office. The Construction Services team staff construction projects throughout Colorado for a variety of clients such as Colorado DOT, local municipalities, counties and many more. WSP is also working at Denver International Airport, the Central 70 project and SERE Light Rail project.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • WSP is seeking motivated construction administrator for various transportation construction projects throughout the State of Colorado. Assignments vary from small municipal projects to large multimillion-dollar highway, airport, and light rail projects. Projects are in the metro areas and in the remote areas Colorado. Potential to see the entire state.

  • Assist Construction Manager and Project Accountants in compiling support documentation for invoices and other needed documentation for projects.

  • Daily interaction with staff inspectors and managers.

  • Reviewing staff daily diaries and back checking of quantities.

  • Read and interpret project plans and specifications, with focus on line item payment requirements.

  • Familiar with payroll monitoring and oversight for compliance with federal requirements (Davis-Bacon, DBE Reporting and sub contract approvals).

  • Familiar with contractor pay requests and supplemental agreements (change orders).

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 7 years of Experience in the Transportation Construction Industry

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiar with CDOT Construction Manual and general procedures

  • Familiar with Colorado municipality/county procedures

  • Familiar with LCPTracker and DBE and prompt pay reporting

  • Experience with CDOT and Colorado municipal/county agencies

  • Some construction projects are located outside the Colorado Springs metro area and may require reporting to the actual project site.

Acting as the first contact with our "Big Box" partner, responding to queries, managing the database, and providing assistance to our sales teams. Consistently understanding and meeting the needs of our customers, recognizing special needs and recommending appropriate upsells. Experience working in "trades/industries" and or the ability to learn technical aspects related to basic product design and functionality. Ability to assist the General Manager with various front office needs as they may arise, including HR processes such as pre-employment checks and documentation, benefits management and monitoring of the employee time-tracking system. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Successful prior experience working in logistics, coordination, project management, or in a similar capacity Proven experience working in a fast-paced environment, meeting tight deadlines on multiple projects Hands-on computer skills including Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience in JD Edwards software highly preferred Ability to take on a role with a steep learning curve. You'll be expected to know the details about our products and discuss offers and options with our partners and customers High school diploma or equivalent.
