Construction Materials Testing Associate Principal

What You'll Do

• Primary responsibilities include providing technical expertise and supporting Materials Testing staff within a branch.

• Responsibilities include performing the following at the office level:

• Overseeing projects

• Performing technical report reviews

• Preparing and reviewing proposals

• Assisting with management of the department and P&L

• Business development and assisting other staff in marketing our services by maintaining and developing client interactions

• Responsibilities may include work at a regional level.

• Responsibilities also include leading and coaching junior Materials Testing staff members.

What We're Looking For

• BS or MS in Civil Engineering preferred; experience may be considered in lieu of education.

• A minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience (with BS or MS in Civil Engineering) or 12 years relevant experience (without BS or MS in Civil Engineering.)

• Professional Engineer (P.E.) or in lieu of P.E., Materials Testing Principals must hold both of the following:

• At least one active master-level certification such as Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), Certified Building Operator (CBO), Master Special Inspector (MSI), or Master Code Professional (MCP).

• And at least three active advanced certifications such as Post Tension Inspector Level II (PTI), ACI Concrete Anchor Installation Inspection, ACI Non-Destructive Testing, ACI Shotcrete Inspection, Federal- or State-level GQ Certification, NICET Level IV in Asphalt, Concrete, Soils, Highway Construction, or ICC Certified Building Official. State-specific certifications such as advanced DOT may be considered depending on jurisdiction.

• If driving for, or on behalf of, any ECS subsidiary, a valid driver's license is required.
