You will be part of a dynamic, growing, and energized team - and your role is key to the success of ECS. While your job duties may fluctuate day to day, here are some areas we expect to see you proficient in:

  • ASTM standards related to testing of soils, foundations, reinforced and post-tensioned concrete, masonry, structural steel, fireproofing and asphalt pavement

  • Assisting with the resolution of both technical and administrative project issues

  • Monitoring project process, performance, safety, and budgetary conditions

  • Report and proposal preparation and review

  • Budgeting daily and ongoing activities as well as invoicing

  • Marketing, including daily on-going client interaction and development of a client database

  • Ability to interact with other staff members and field personnel

What We're Looking For

  • BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited university preferred

  • 3-5 years of related experience

  • Engineer in Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain one within three months

The right candidate will work independently and with other personnel to perform construction activities and routine maintenance tasks as required by the project’s needs. The Construction PM will build, test, ground, and ensure maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness while supporting the policies, procedures, goals and objectives set by the company. The Construction Project Manager reports to the Director of Construction and is responsible for the daily management, supervision, coordination, and successful completion of the project/s to meet time and cost objectives with respect to contracting, scheduling, and contract administration functions.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p> <p> </p> <p>Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.</p> <ul> <li>Visits various jobsites and interacts with employees, customers, and general contractors to ensure proper job progress</li> <li>Attends weekly and monthly meetings as required by project/s or company’s needs</li> <li>Reviews bill of material/ labor proposals for effectively meeting or beating job cost; perform change orders as required by project/s, tracks materials, and develops as-built documentation</li> <li>Immediately identifies, corrects, and/or reports any conditions, or incidents in a timely manner</li> <li>Analyzes upcoming tasks and coordinates interdepartmental needs scheduled and communicated as required for the project/s needs</li> <li>Communicate with contractors and warehouse personnel for material procurement for project/s</li> <li>Self-motivated; Ability to travel, work weekends, or after normal business hours as needed to support the needs of the customers</li> <li>Analyzes jobs and determines appropriate deployment of resources/materials as required by project/s needs</li> <li>Performs other related duties as required and assigned</li> <li>Maintains compliance with company policies and procedures</li> <li>Performs other related duties as required</li> <li>Meet regularly with onsite Property Manager, General Contractors, and Sub-Contractors.</li> <li>Construct and oversee the construction of plant such as IDF Lock Boxes, MFH2 Electronics, Dish Installations, Hardline Plant & Cabling, Fiber Plant & Cabling, and Twisted Pair Plant & Cabling, CATV Headend & Distribution systems, Data systems including CMTS, Routers, Switches and Wireless bridges/access points.</li> <li>Document with POP readings, photos, and marked up as builds for projects and scopes which will be required to sustain the optimal operation of your assigned projects, systems and plants.</li> <li>Able to set up and effectively operate all required hand tools and test equipment including Satellite Meter, CATV Meters, Fiber Meters, and PC based test platforms.</li> <li>Able to construct all aspects of Coaxial, Fiber, and Twisted pair distribution networks.</li> <li>Able to prioritize, manage, and report on the various project status, scope and duties on a daily basis.</li> <li>Perform hand off inspections of new and upgraded MDU site networks with Operations Managers in different regions. Performing corrective actions as necessary to ensure a quality assurance.</li> <li>Manage the end user service level experience and satisfaction as it relates to the performance, and reliability of the services for which they have subscribed at the MDU sites for which you have been assigned.</li> <li>Participate in plant safety, health and environmental programs.</li> <li>Other tasks as identified and conveyed by Director of Construction or Company.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Education/Experience:</strong></p> <p>The minimum requirements for education and experience are listed below. Consideration will be given to individuals with an equivalent combination of education and experience.</p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Have at least 3 years’ experience with Telecommunications Construction Management.</li> <li>Have at least 3 years’ experience with low voltage communications systems and maintenance</li> <li>Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings.</li> <li>Ability to write detailed reports as well as good verbal communication.</li> <li>Post-secondary education and/or a technical trade certificate are an asset.</li> <li>Successfully pass and maintain DirecTV SBCA Certification and other network certification and testing programs as deemed mandatory by Gigamonster.</li> <li>Must have a valid state driver’s license and maintained a good driving record.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Minimum Skills and/or Knowledge Required:</strong></p> <p><strong>Schedule:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Must be flexible and adapt to changing project schedules and scope.</li> <li>Monday through Friday. May vary based on customer demands and can include, but is not limited to: nights, weekends, and holidays.</li> <li>Travel required 50%-100%</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Computer Skills:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Expertise and proficiency with basic office computer software, and the ability to learn how to effectively use maintenance software to input data and research parts.</li> <li>Proficiency with PC’s basic commands in order to manage Data network components.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong></p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.</li> <li>Must be able to climb ladders and work at elevations 60 feet, or on high rise rooftop locations.</li> <li>Manual and mechanical digging may be required.</li> <li>Opportunity is 50% outdoors, must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.</li> </ul> NLB Services Marietta GA
