GFA International is currently seeking Construction Materials Field Technician to join our team in Fort Myers, FL.

GFA is a full-service engineering consulting firm specializing in geotechnical engineering, environmental consulting, material testing, and building inspections. Our clients include contractors, developers, owners, engineers, architects, state and local governments, school boards, departments of transportation, universities, banks, and realtors.


  • Obtaining samples of concrete from ready mix trucks, molding test specimens, and performing slump & air tests.

  • Retrieving, stripping, labeling, sorting, test specimen and stripping the molds.

  • Performing concrete strength testing in the laboratory.

  • Performing soil density testing.

  • Obtain and test proctor and LBR samples.

  • Monitoring pile driving, augered cast, vibro-improvement, and de-mucking operations.

  • Drilling concrete and asphalt cores.


  • High-school diploma or G.E.D.

  • FDOT Specification Certification.

  • Earthwork Construction Inspection Level 1 Certification.

  • Previous experience working with concrete is preferred.

  • Communication skills and ability to read/interpret documents.

  • Ability to lift/move at least 50 pounds.
