Our Construction Management Group provides service on projects ranging from small pump stations to multi-million dollar capital improvement programs. Responsibilities:
Interface with Construction Management Project on all facets of assigned projects
Responsible for overall on-site contract management, administration, project controls, and coordination on mid to large size projects of a diverse and complex nature
Monitor and enforce contractor compliance with plans and specifications
Supervise and mentor assigned on-site construction administration and inspection staff
Assist in the timely review and response to requests-for-information, clarifications, and interpretations of the contract documents
Develop and maintain a professional working relationship with the client, contractor, and regulatory agencies
Coordinate and expedite the review of construction submittals / shop drawings
Lead periodic progress / coordination meetings and prepare meeting minutes
Review and/or prepare requests for payment
Review daily reports, quantity calculations, and other reports
Review and evaluate change management requests
Prepare monthly project progress reports
Perform construction cost estimating, Biddability & constructability and value engineering reviews
Assist with business development activities, including client visitation and proposal writing.
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience as a Construction Manager for significant water / wastewater conveyance, pump station, vertical turbine pumps, pipeline installation, horizontal directional drilling, agency coordination, and treatment facility projects.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent is preferred
Certified Construction Management (CCM through CMAA), EIT or PE is preferred, but not required
5-8 years of related, relevant experience in various aspects of construction management
Possess general knowledge of all disciplines of construction
Understand the major deliverable terms of the engineering and construction contracts and manage projects accordingly
Proficiency with computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. is required
Experience with other computer software (AutoCAD, Expedition / Contract Manager, P3 or P6, Timberline, etc.) is preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications
Must possess a valid driver's license
Travel and overtime work will be required
