Role Overview

This position is for an experienced professional, overseeing planning, organizing, and scheduling of facilities and equipment maintenance and projects for our 430K SF campus in Burnsville, MN. Responsible for assessment and oversight of building and equipment processes to ensure proper functioning and optimal utilization of the organizations facilities.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the planning, organizing and scheduling of activities and directs design, maintenance, construction, renovation, and repair to ensure proper functioning of the organization's facilities and equipment.

  • Leads activities related to pre-building assessments, such as conceptual cost estimating, rough order of magnitude estimating, feasibility, energy efficiency, environmental, and sustainability assessments, and recommends plans to meet the customer's needs.

  • May train staff to ensure compliance with company and government regulations.

  • Supports the design of organization wide security programs to ensure compliance with government regulations for access control.

  • Plans, designs, and reconfigures equipment, machinery, buildings, and structures to ensure the optimal utilization of the organization's facilities.

  • Assesses and evaluates the physical space requirements of the organization and recommends plans to meet needs.

  • Gathers and reviews data concerning facility or equipment specifications, company or government restrictions, required completion date, and construction feasibility.

  • Reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs.

  • Ensures proper functioning of facilities through ongoing inspection and maintenance.

  • Conducts machine inventories and arranges disposal of obsolete or no-longer-required equipment.

  • Manages facilities contractor management process.

Candidates for this role should possess a Bachelor's degree and 7 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience

Job Description Summary: Senior Operations Manager This Senior Operations Manager position drives activities to achieve cost targets and improve performance in the areas of true efficiency, safety, quality and supply chain capability while ensuring compliance quality objectives are met. Ensure that cost gaps are identified, action plans developed, and adequate resources allocated to meet all financial objectives * Drive overall supply chain capabilities by managing plant wide implementation of TPM, true efficiency, and team development. * Achieve all productivity, quality, cost, delivery, safety & motivation Key Performance Indicators objectives * Provide a work environment which adheres to all compliance and regulatory guidelines * Evaluate business unit capabilities, skills, and resource alignment to ensure performance against objectives.
