LGI Homes is seeking a Construction Manager in the Northwest Orlando/Leesburg area.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage homebuilding construction through all phases to ensure the delivery of quality homes that meet both company and customer expectations on time and on budget.

  • Maintain the cleanest job sites in the world.

  • Respond to and resolve warranty claims, perform homeowner orientations, and maintain inventory homes.

  • Coordinate and enforce subcontractor and vendor scope of work.

  • Interact daily with various departments of the company, as well as subcontractors, customers, and city inspectors.

  • Uphold company core values at all times.

Requirements

Candidates must display the following qualifications:

  • 2+ years of residential construction management experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of home and construction systems and processes preferred.

  • Ability to manage a team of employees and complete multiple multi-trade projects on schedule.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage and delegate multiple projects and work assignments.

  • Customer-oriented attitude with exceptional communication and organizational skills.

  • Team player with the aptitude for multi-tasking, meeting deadlines, and building relationships with team members, vendors, and customers.

VIEW JOBS 11/12/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-10T00:00 Description:<br /> The Construction Manager (CM) will be working directly with the project director to assist in the planning and oversight of our solar photovoltaic installation projects. In this position, you will be expected to coordinate compliance efforts with local governing authorities, develop and maintain project labor plans and produce and update project drawings. The CM will serve as the quarterback for the site work and be the main point of contact with the client during the construction phase. Once assigned, the CM will remain in charge of the physical construction project from start to finish. This position requires tact, adaptability, confidence, and a high degree of customer service and professionalism.<br /> <br /> Responsibilities:<br /> Work directly with our Engineering and Operations teams in the planning and execution of projects.<br /> Responsible for holding site safety meetings, follow established safety rules and regulations, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.<br /> Responsible for onsite management of all sub-contractors and 3rd party labor.<br /> Assist in the coordination of purchasing and labor needs for projects.<br /> Responsible for keeping a daily activity log and reporting site data to the Project Manager.<br /> Manage logistics and communication as required with customer, local government and utility.<br /> Assist in the creation and updating of project drawings.<br /> Interacts with clients and provides exceptional customer service that exceeds expectations<br /> <br /> Qualifications:<br /> BS degree in Project Management, Construction Management and/or Electrical/Civil Engineering<br /> A minimum of 3 years’ direct construction management experience in the Electrical and Solar Photovoltaic Construction Industry<br /> Management experience with projects related to Electrical and Solar Photovoltaic particularly with government – state/federal project and prevailing wages<br /> Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills. Must have the ability to communicate technical material to a non-technical audience  <br /> Proficient in the following computer software systems: Microsoft Office Products, particularly Word, Excel and Power Point<br /> A current valid driver’s license<br /> Strong working knowledge of job site safety as well as the ability to complete a company specific safety orientation (OSHA 30 HRS is a plus)<br /> Able to travel to/from job sites on a regular basis<br /> High standards of integrity and professionalism  Energeiaworks Orlando FL
