LGI Homes is seeking a Construction Manager in the Houston area.

  • Manage homebuilding construction through all phases to ensure the delivery of quality homes that meet both company and customer expectations on time and on budget.
  • Maintain the cleanest job sites in the world.
  • Respond to and resolve warranty claims, perform homeowner orientations, and maintain inventory homes.
  • Coordinate and enforce subcontractors and vendors scope of work.
  • Interact daily with various departments of company, subcontractors, customers, and city inspectors.
  • Uphold company core values at all times.


  • 2+ years of residential construction management experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of home and construction systems and processes preferred.
  • Ability to manage a team of employees and complete multiple multi-trade projects on schedule.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage and delegate multiple projects and work assignments.
  • Customer-oriented attitude with exceptional communication and organizational skills.
  • Team player with the aptitude for multi-tasking, meeting deadlines, and building relationships with team members, vendors, and customers.

As Construction Manager III, you'll be in the field, working onsite with the construction management and inspection teams and acting as a resource for colleagues with less experience. This role is critical in the planning, coordination and execution of natural gas pipeline projects, and safety is the highest priority. Responsibilities/Expectations: * Accountable for front end construction planning, estimate development and analysis and contract management * Provides input in QA/QC staffing plans, construction cost/schedule management and liaison activities with stakeholders * Provides input on contracting strategy and contractor qualification/selection * Reviews contractor schedules, execution plans, and extra work claims * Develops and manages construction progress reporting * Performs audits of inspection processes and documentation requirements * Assists in construction closeout * Provides onsite leadership to inspection team * Other duties as assigned Education/Years of Experience: * Required: High School Diploma/GED, a minimum of six (6) years' related experience and CCM (CMAA) Certification * Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Construction Science or Construction Management Physical and Environment Work Requirements: Must be able to: * Work in extreme temperatures, with loud noises and in enclosed spaces * Carry and lift items that weigh a minimum of 50 lbs * Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat, often for long periods of time * Work at elevated levels, potentially from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers, with appropriate PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) * Use hand tools Other Requirements: * Must possess valid State Driver's License and clean driving record * Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority * Needs proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Application and PC skills Education Requirements: Skill Requirements: Competency Requirements: Collaborates & Champions Inclusion, Communication, Continuous Improvement, Customer-Stakeholder Focus, Drives for Results, Integrity, Values, and Trust, Safety, Self-Awareness Williams Houston TX
