Primarily the role is responsible for managing the operational performance, engineering best practices and administration of the NER Saugus Fill Site. Reporting to the aggregates Operations Manager, the position will work closely with the scale operator, operational personnel, AGG sales manager, Environmental and third party contractors to insure operational excellence within this business. Operations management encompasses a culture of safety first zero harm to all. It fosters effective team relations and focuses on performance excellence, best practices, financial responsibility, value environmental stewardship, compliance, and our customer needs.



  • Responsible for the daily operations management of the Construction Fill Site.

  • Oversee construction fill being received; ensure proper handling by our operators and third party truckers. Help monitor and track required testing and help obtain / maintain necessary records with our scale operator and sales personnel.

  • Prepare and administer contracts for onsite contractors and consultants.

  • Prioritize and schedule incoming construction fill with contractors, site operations team including scale master and sales personnel.

  • Maintain contractual, financial, environmental, safety records and assists with developing annual budget.

  • Perform general and specialized studies, surveys, inspections, and analyses relating to matters of construction fill operation and make process improvement recommendations and solutions.

  • Compares and monitors actual operational performance with operating plan, KPI targets and budgets.

  • Ensure operation is in compliance with design and specifications, all construction operations projects are completed on schedule, within budget and to quality standards.

  • Liaise regularly with operations, functional teams, regional counterparts, senior management and other stakeholders to ensure effective integration and prioritization of initiatives and activities (safety, environmental, compliance, etc.).

  • Participates in physical safety inspections, monitors safety programs at operating location and communicate and promote safety as a core value when dealing with plant management, regional staff and external personnel.

  • Other duties as assigned.



Required Education: Bachelor's/University Degree

Additional Education Preferred: Bachelor's Degree

Preferred field of study: Engineering, Environmental, Construction Management is preferred

Other Training/Certifications Required: None required

Required Work Experience: 3-5 years in aggregates environment with emphasis on process control and environmental performance management.

Travel Requirements:
Local travel throughout the Northeast Region Aggregates Division.

Computer Skills:
Computer literate for all MS Office

Other: Safety oriented and sound knowledge of OH&S policies, procedures and regulations. Ability to work in an outdoor environment, with frequent exposure to heat, cold, dust and noise.
