As we expand our operations in the Memphis metropolitan area, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Manager to lead the construction of our new data center. The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of the construction process, including managing contractors, ensuring adherence to timelines, monitoring budgets, and tracking daily metrics to ensure the project is completed on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the planning, design, and execution of construction projects for the new data center in Memphis.
• Manage contractors, subcontractors, and all on-site construction personnel to ensure project goals are met.
• Track daily construction progress, including headcount, project milestones, and adherence to safety protocols.
• Develop and maintain construction schedules, ensuring projects remain on time and within scope.
• Monitor project budgets and manage costs, adjusting as necessary to prevent overruns.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, engineers, and external vendors to ensure alignment with project specifications and goals.
• Conduct regular site inspections and safety checks to ensure compliance with all regulations.
• Prepare and present progress reports, construction metrics, and updates to senior management.
• Resolve any issues that may arise during the construction process, including conflicts with contractors or delays.
• Ensure the quality and efficiency of construction meet xAI's high standards for data center infrastructure.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in construction management, with a focus on data centers or large-scale industrial/commercial projects.
• Proven track record of successfully managing construction projects from start to finish, on time and within budget.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage contractors, subcontractors, and construction teams.
• Strong understanding of project scheduling, cost management, and resource allocation.
• Proficient in construction management software and tools (e.g., Procore, AutoCAD, MS Project).
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external contractors, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Experience with construction metrics, including headcount management, safety checks, and daily progress tracking.

Preferred:

• Previous experience in data center construction or highly technical facilities.
• Familiarity with local Memphis building codes and regulations.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex construction challenges.
