The ideal candidate will possess detail-oriented project management skills and have experience in the construction management industry. They must have thorough knowledge and experience of every aspect of construction projects, including schedules, budgeting and the various tools/technologies that are currently used.
This role focuses on building relationships with our customers, existing employee base, seeking to review end to end processes in construction management and identifying opportunities for digitizing and optimization. You will participate in developing strategic direction for the company regarding the use of construction-related technology and other technical services including, but not limited to, field services / inspections, project controls, project & program management processes, construction management processes, building information modeling (BIM), and virtual & augmented reality.
Act as a subject matter expert on full life cycle of construction management projects
Act as liaison between the construction management practitioners and the digital team to
Review current technology solutions and make recommendations on the best solutions to resolve process constraints and issues
Prepare functional requirements for gaps in current technology offerings and work with developers to translate into technical specifications
Identify projects outlined above, communicate with prospective stakeholders, and act as a project manager for these projects
Serve as a subject matter expert on evolving technologies and best practices to internal project teams, owners and clients
Maintain contact with key executives and/or decision makers
Develop, manage, and update project activity, scheduling, and reports to track estimated manpower requirements/workload, bidding schedule.
Attend meetings with developer to review progress of project and estimating activities.
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Construction, or Construction Engineering Management
Strong analysis and problem-solving skills to address engineering and solutions/opportunities
Proficient with technology including Microsoft Excel for cost estimating and engineering functions
Client management skills; ability to manage relationships, perceptions and expectations
Ability to deal diplomatically with internal and external customers at various levels within an organization
Knowledge and interest of construction management principles involved in strategic planning, accounting, cost forecasting, resource allocation, and coordination of people and resources
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Capable of maintaining a high energy level to handle a dynamic, fast-paced workload
3-5 years' experience working in a construction management capacity, preferably in consulting
Good organizational skills
