2024 Construction Management/Project Manager Internship Program

Precision Industrial Contractors, Inc. (PIC) interns have a unique educational opportunity to gain exposure to multiple engineering disciplines, such as Mechanical, Electrical, Automation & Controls, Civil, and Structural. Interns will have the opportunity to learn from and collaborate with diverse multidiscipline teams of Project Managers, Engineers, Designers, and Drafters on a variety of industrial engineering projects. Qualifications
Enrollment in a Construction Management academic program at an ABET-accredited institution with an expected graduation date in 2025
Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
Ability to work in PIC office in Woodland, WA and be willing to travel off site on occasion
Excellent interpersonal, teaming, and communication skills
Experience using Microsoft Office or other word processing and spreadsheet applications
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the requirement for future sponsorship
Juniors or Seniors pursuing a Bachelor's degree or first year Master's or has at least one more semester remaining to graduate
Must be able to read and understand contract language and be open to learning drafting software. Experience in AutoCAD Inventor is a plus
Responsibilities
Provide support to the lead Mechanical Engineers and Project Managers in creating project deliverables such as piping & mechanical drawings, PFDs & P&IDs, design specifications, equipment data sheets, field investigations, and calculations
Develop solutions across multiple disciplinaries including mechanical, electrical and piping
Present an end-of-internship overview of completed objectives, tasks, and projects
Assist in writing standard operating procedures and training manuals
Provide engineering support to other departments as needed
Present to the department periodically and at the end of the internship
Other duties as assigned
General schedule is an 8-hour M-F assignment, however, employee must be willing to work alternate schedules occasionally; which may include early mornings, nights, and/or weekends and be punctual while doing so
Occasional overnight travel to include flying and driving, expenses paid
Sitting or standing for extended periods of time for a minimum of 8 hours
Reading computer screens or other electronic devices
Upon completion of your internship with PIC you will be asked to present your project to the team as your exit interview. Top-performing summer interns will be eligible to receive full-time offers to join PIC as full-time Project Manager upon successful completion of their degree.
Benefits:
Summer Internship will be roughly 10 weeks long and be determined upon hire based on your school year start and end dates
$20-23 per hour DOE
