As a Construction Loan Underwriter your primary objective is to underwrite residential construction and land loans and assist Construction Loan Officers on all construction mortgage loan files from applicationtofunding.

Responsibilities

Risk management; with limited direction review and underwrite residential construction loans to determine whether they fit credit union, mortgage insurance and other 3rd party guidelines. Approving loans within assigned limits.

Manage construction loan files including builder plans and specs, resumes, builder experience, etc. May include processing construction loans, ensuring all required documentation is in the file and accurate. Send all required disclosures following RESPA and Fair Lending requirements.

Troubleshoot and help work out problems with the building projects. Assist Construction Loan Officers with obtaining necessary required items prior to closing. Process denied and withdrawn construction loan applications.

Assist with various construction loan duties as required. Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. Requires at least 1 year of loan underwriting experience, construction experience being preferred.

Excellent communication and people skills with an eye for detail. Have the ability to work under pressure and multi-task in an organized manner.

Must take pride in department by processing loans in a timely and efficient manner with a high attention to detail. Must be professional and courteous in manner, with a focus on attendance, quality and quantity of work performed. Must be willing to comply with the Bank Secrecy Act and USA Patriot Act as implemented by Idaho Central Credit Union.

Perform tasks requiring manual dexterity (processing paperwork, filing, stapling, sorting, collating, typing, counting cash, etc.). Sit for extended periods of time. Lift 20-40 pounds of office supplies (copy paper, computer paper, mail, etc.). Repetitive motion using wrists, hands, and fingers.

Reach keyboards. Ability to operate basic office machines (calculator, computer, telephone, copy machine, fax machine, etc.).

Must be eligible for membership at Idaho Central Credit Union to obtain employment.

As a Commercial Loan Underwriter your primary objective is to conduct extensive credit analyses on existing and prospective business members and makes recommendations regarding: credit decisions, risk ratings, loan pricing, and credit structure to management. A Commercial Loan Underwriter could have lending authority to approve smaller or less complex loan exposures. Responsibilities Perform in depth financial analysis of personal and business members applying for credit. Prepare detailed credit presentations including: credit worthiness: loan structure, loan pricing, risk rating, industry comparisons, appraisal review and key financial ratios. Review and prepare loan packages to ensure files are complete and organized. Assist with review and maintenance of existing business loan portfolio. Assist Lending Team with preparation of business proposal packages for prospective accounts. Maintain in-depth product knowledge on all business services; deposit accounts, loans, merchant bankcards, Preferred Pay and other business products. Other projects and duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. Requires at least 2 years underwriting experience, commercial experience being preferred, with in depth knowledge of income statements, tax returns and other financial documentation. Must have the ability to work under pressure and organize tasks for optimal performance. Requires excellent organizational, communication and relationship building skills. As a Construction Loan Processor your primary responsibilities include promptly, efficiently and compliantly gathering necessary documents to complete the construction draw process. This includes processing, funding, handling all draws and modifications throughout the building process. Work together with Mortgage and Commercial Loan Officers and Underwriters in achieving the goals of the Credit Union. Responsibilities Process all construction loans,ensuring all required documentation is in the file and accurate. Send all required disclosures following RESPA and Fair Lending requirements. Manage all draw requests. Including balancing draw requests to lienwaiversorinvoices. Analyze budgets against sources and uses of funds to identify exceptions to or changes in conformity to standard monitoring requirements. Assess compliance with loan documentation to insure loans are within budget and timeframe for project completion.
