We are looking for a team player! Candidates should be diligent, hardworking and have a positive attitude. This position will require frequent travel, with a team, to various events and client sites. Candidates from a carpentry, construction, or scaffolding background would be advantageous.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the safe and efficient installation/removal of equipment in accordance with project specific plans and layouts
  • Inspecting all scaffold components prior to assembly
  • Build and breakdown scaffolds, install ladders, walkways and handrails
  • Clean and prepare construction sites, including removing debris and materials
  • Load and unload equipment and materials form truck and vehicles
  • Study plans and equipment lists prior to on-site installation
  • Ensure appropriate safety measures are followed; including wearing and use of safety equipment
  • Maintain fall protection requirements while erecting / dismantling scaffolds
  • Make sure that tools and equipment are cleaned and maintained properly at the end of each shift
  • Ensure full client satisfaction in relation to the quality of service and finished product within planned time schedules
  • Any other duties and responsibilities the job requires not outlined above

Required education:

  • High school or equivalent


  • Background Check and Drug screening required
  • Candidates from a Carpentry, Construction, Laboring or Events background would be advantageous.
  • Familiar with basic hand tools
  • Must be willing to work at various heights
  • Creative problem solver with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Organized and highly detailed
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team setting to achieve company goals
  • Able to lift-up to 75Ibs
  • Candidate should read and understand basic safety instructions
  • May be asked to drive a non-commercial company vechicle
  • Must be capable of working overtime
  • Preferred: Bi-lingual (English/ Spanish)
  • Preferred: Valid Driver's License with good Driving record
  • Preferred: Valid US Passport for potential overseas travel would be a plus

VIEW JOBS 11/13/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-11T00:00 Coordinator, Labor Relations Description Job Summary: The Labor Relations Coordinator, is responsible for the administration of the labor relations department, union promotional sequence recruiting, and job offers, administration of the Collective Bargaining Agreement process including discipline, grievance, and arbitration management. This position interfaces with employees upward, across, and downward in the organization in addition to union leadership. Assists with the management and union employee relations, labor relations, personnel administration, employee programs, safety programs, and union staffing management programs. These functions include responsibility for developing, interpreting, and recommending program goals and objectives, policies, and procedures, and courses of action Functional Expertise : * Responsible for providing active support in the areas of, Labor Relations, reporting, administrative support and union staffing management. * Assists employees and managers with basic interpretation of policies and procedures, disciplinary and termination procedures. * Process purchasing card activities; reviews and reconciles purchasing card expenses; enters into PeopleSoft Financials for payment processing. * Coordinates position request forms, severance plan documents, etc. * Ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations concerning employment, company policies that affect employment and employee discipline. * Answers phones for the Labor Relations Department * Plans and coordinates logistics for meetings and special events (e.g., conference rooms, refreshments, audio-visual, and participant invitations) * Coordinates travel arrangements (e.g., air, hotel, ground transportation, restaurants) * Manage Union hiring process, manage union workforce positions both physical and clerical positions, initiates job offers, interviews, lists of promotions/movements in compliance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement. * Create and manage Nicor Gas union job openings and electronic postings for openings through Taleo software. * Manage the reporting processes and delivery of metrics on assigned recruiting activities, Labor performance metrics, disciplinary database tools, grievance tracking systems. * Manage the applicant tracking system for the recruitment of union positions, penalties, eligibility requirements. * Make offers/hire union employees, based on seniority, coordinate training dates with business and Technical Training Center. Business Acumen: * Assist with employee new hire orientation and other training programs * Records meeting minutes during staffing meetings and record data to be analyzed for retention purposes, such as PeopleSoft tracking data * Provide coordination and project support around various Department initiatives and deliverables (such as contract negotiations, grievances, arbitrations, discipline, memorandums of agreement), working closely with and taking direction from the Director Labor Relations and the Labor Relation Consultants on the team. Participate in cross-system LR management projects as needed. * Support project planning by providing accurate estimates and status reports and meeting deliverables, minutes, schedules, agendas. * Assist in collecting and analyzing data and capturing HR metrics/grievances in a way that allows the team to effectively share information with peers and clients around wellness, and other HR/LR initiatives. * Develop, review, and implement internal processes and ensure continuous improvement * Plans and coordinates logistics for department meetings and special events, such as scheduling arbitration panel/meetings, safety leadership meetings, etc. * Track Grievances in all grievance steps to ensure the company meets the deadlines as outlined in the contract.
