Job Summary

The Black and Veatch Summer Internship Program is designed to provide the following to students: 1) experience in a working environment; 2) meaningful work assignments; 3) introduction to Black and Veatch corporate culture; 4) chance to network with experienced executives, leading professionals, and peers; 5) opportunity to learn and expand classroom theory into practice, 6) earn excellent hourly wage. For Black and Veatch it's designed to provide: 1) Supervisors/Managers with opportunity to assess student's skills and abilities; 2) source of potential future talent for organization; 3) foster relationships with colleges and universities.

Key Responsibilities

. Assist Field superintendents in every day task completion May include daily reports, material expediting/location, cost/progress reporting, etc . Industrial field construction with ability to work in outdoor/rugged environment . Individual contributor with no subordinates

Minimum Qualifications

Current enrollment in accredited university in Construction/Management Engineering program. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

The Project Construction Sales Manager develops practical and innovative ways of marketing new segment strategies and manages new and existing customer relationships to meet the goals and objectives of the business. 2019-05-04 Professionals ( > 2 years of work experience) Tasks: As a Project Construction Sales Manager, you will: * Focus on developing strong relationships with electrical contractors and engineers in the market area. * Actively seek and build relationships with new clients, Electrical Contractors, Engineers, and Distribution, while maintaining existing client's relationships * Focus on growing sales and share for our business across the trade area * Perform take-off's, budgeting, cost effective proposals, and alternate value engineered proposals, from project plans and specs and negotiate and secure project orders * Mine construction data (Dodge, Builders Exchange, bid board) to identify new opportunities to bid, key trends in marketplace, and new product needs * Analyze territorial sales potential and develop sales strategies, utilizing regional commercial operation resources necessary to achieve customer service levels * Monitor customer satisfaction and propose / deliver corrective actions * Actively listen to customers' needs and provide effective technical service to resolve issues and inquiries * Develop & maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through consistent high quality interactions with customer management.
