Street Legal has an immediate need for a Construction QA Inspector to support the Tyndall, AFB Resident Office at Tyndall AFB near Panama City, Florida. This position will include reviewing and interpreting plans and specifications for completeness, accuracy, and constructability. Field construction inspection of construction materials and activities. Reporting will comprise the majority of the work. Interaction with clients and contractors requires candidate to have a professional presentation along with excellent communication skills and attention to detail. Records all data in RMS. This position may require frequent and recurring construction inspections, which includes walking, climbing, stooping, and bending at various elevations and uneven terrain.

Job Details

• Provide oversight of the contractor to ensure compliance with contract requirements and standards. Include evaluation of level of inspection, testing procedures and results, documentation of deficiency correction, etc. in accordance with the USACE 3-Phase inspection program

• Observe installation of communications and data infrastructure and document compliance to contract documents

• Document compliance to construction standards and specifications

• Complete and maintain records of field observations, including daily reports outlining the work performed, as well as field measurements and computations

• Participate in technical review of development plans to ensure conformity to USACE standards and specifications

• Attend and participate in construction progress meeting

• Perform infrastructure walk through and develop punch lists as required

• Work to resolve conflicts with construction installation

• Provide construction photographs as required to document progress and problem areas

• Ensure that safety and local regulations were considered and followed during the construction of utility equipment

• Attend contractor's major project meetings

• Participate in tests, demonstrations, and field instructions with the appropriate personnel

Requirements

QualificationsMinimum Requirements:

• HS + 10 YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education as a construction inspector on large complex multimillion dollar DoD construction projects.

• Experience using Microsoft Office and experience using RMS.

Preferred Requirements

• Pervious USACE experience

• Knowledge of the USACE Three Phase Inspection Process

• Knowledge of EM 385-1 Safety Requirements

• Previous construction management experience of projects in Florida, more specifically in areas in the vicinity of Tyndall AFB and on Air Force Installations.
