Construction Inspector

Description:

They are looking to hire a Construction Inspector to support various projects in and around the Washtenaw County. Projects will be mainly municipalities and residential.

Will be in the field the majority of the time. When weather is bad or if they are a little slow with field projects, this person would assist in office activities, and if person had some knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil or Survey drafting/drawings, they will support these projects. Day-to-Day, the main responsibilities would be to do inspections of asphalt and concrete for roads, sidewalks, and/or curbs within their residential and municipal projects, and might need to do occasional concrete and/or asphalt testing. Will also be responsible for daily reports in MS Word.

Would be able to use a company truck daily to drive to the job sites. If person works within 30 min of Ann Arbor, person can take the work truck home every night.

Hours worked during slow season would be around 40 hours/week, and once spring/summer season hits, might need to work 50-60 hours per week, including an occasional Saturday if needed. Paid OT for this role.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

MUST HAVES:

2 plus years of experience doing Construction Inspection work

MS Office knowledge

Asphalt and/or Concrete Testing Certifications

Willingness to work in the field majority of time in any weather condition

Experience Level:

Intermediate Level
