NV5 has a need for a Construction Inspector and/or Office Engineer for transportation related infrastructure projects, including knowledge of roadways, bikeways, parking lots, utility and streetscape construction. NYSDOT, NCDPW, or SCDPW experience a plus. Location of work Nassau or Suffolk Counties.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect construction activities.

  • Prepare daily inspector reports.

  • Confirm contractor quantities.

  • Ensure implementation of MPT.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or undergraduate degree in Engineering
  • A minimum of 2-5 years of experience.

Certifications/Licenses:

  • NICET 2 or NICET 3

VIEW JOBS 4/23/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-07-22T00:00 Job Description Inspects audits and reports on packaging and raw materials using variable or attribute measuring instruments and techniques to ensure conformance with the company's quality standards. Examines, measures, samples and tests containers, chemicals and materials used to make or package drug products. Examines, for conformity to specifications, tubes, bottles, cartons, caps, stoppers and related materials. Records inspection or test results. Performs peer review of components/materials against specification and acceptance criteria. Supports CAPA and continuous improvement implementation with the support of IQC supervision. May convert measure from metric to English or vice versa using calculator. Sampling and Inspections Check-in and verify components against incoming "Receiver Ticket". Initiates the printing of company internal labelling from ERP/SHAPE computer system. Verifies the information on SHAPE labels for accuracy and tags material. Prints corresponding specifications and Art file for incoming component inspec-tions from EDMS. Inputs information on corresponding inspection forms and specification for components. Pulls samples according to current sampling plan. Performs visual inspections against approved specifications. Physical Testing Performs Identification Testing on unlined aluminium tubes. Performs Liner Integrity Test on lined aluminium tubes. Performs Thickness Measuring on all lacquer-lined tubes. Weight Variation test is to be performed on bottles. Overflow Capacity test on is to be performed on bottles. Performs Functionality Test on components as required. Leak Test is to be performed on all drums liners. Performs IR Scans on lined tubes, Foilpac® liners, bottles, caps, dropper plugs and any other product contact materials as required. Bar Code Verification test is to be performed on all components with a UPC Pharmacode, EAN and RSS Barcode according to current approved artwork for accuracy. Raw Material Sampling: Check-in and verify raw materials against incoming "Receiver Ticket". Initiates the printing of company internal labelling from ERP/SHAPE computer system. Verifies the information on SHAPE labels for accuracy and tags material. Maintains the Raw Material "Log Book" when material is received and sample. Samples material according to the current Raw Material sampling schedule. Clean and stores all sampling tools after sampling is completed. Provides samples to the Quality Control Laboratories according to the current sample requirements. • Maintains Raw Material "Logs" when material is sampled/released/rejected English reading and comprehension skills required to understand and communicate SOP's, cGMP's, and Specification & Artfile Instructions, and identify compliance and non-compliance with same. • Basic mathematical skills and ability to perform weight calculations. If Qualified, train new employees at the direction of IQA Supervisor/Management. Some lifting and moving of boxes (up to 50 pounds) or drums (over 50 pounds) may be required Ability to operate warehouse machinery when required. Ability to use respiratory and safety equipment. Participate in Behavioral Based Safety Program (BBS) by complying with all safe-ty procedures and preventive measures (i.e., wearing Personal Protective Equip-ment (PPE). Adheres to all applicable procedures, cGMP's, company policies, and all other quality or regulatory requirements (OSHA, DEA, FDA, EMEA, ANVISA, HS&E, etc.). Ensures all work is performed in a safe, effective manner, and in compliance with the appropriate industry and regulatory (FDA, DEA, OSHA) standards, and De-partmental, Plant, and Corporate quality and Behavioral Based Safety (BBS) goals. Sampling Tools and Safety Requirements: Must be able to use safety glasses, hairnets, beard/mustache covers (if applica-ble), latex gloves, safety shoes, disposable sleeves, respirators (breathable air and cartridge), heavy chemical gloves, chemical apron, disposable full body jumpers, disposable booties and any other safety gear as required. Use of sampling tools for liquid and powder sampling according to material requirement. Use of glove box under nitrogen gas. Use of dust collection system and fume hood. Maintains/monitors the chart recorder on the Drum Heating Cabinet as required, and reports any unsafe conditions. Cleans sampling tools when required.
